I played with Dave & the HOODS in 1980. It was a BIG show at Lincoln Park Ballroom in MA. The place held 5,000 + SOLD OUT! The lineup that nite was----->>The Reputations<--(my band), The Gluons, The Probers, The Outlets, The Neighborhoods & The Lads. Great gig!

Dave! You and the boys were so awesome! I play the songs front Reptile Men and the High Hard One to my 20 y.o. boys, and reflect on the great times at the Channel, Bunratty's, Grovers, everywhere. You guys had a bigger impact than you will ever know. At one show you called me arrogant for continually requesting 'Arrogant', it was classic. Thanks for sharing your art and helping to define MY era!

At least the crowd is paying attention to her and applauds at the end. I've seen other videos where the audience drowns her out by talking amongst themselves and ignoring her while she's singing and even when she's talking.

So nice to see David here sharing stories! I arrived in Boston in 1989 to attend Berklee and I went out one night to a club called The Channel and saw The Neighborhoods for the first time and IMMEDIATELY became a fan. They were the perfect mix of punk and good melody. I followed them around for a few years and was at the show they call The Last Rat! I remember at one point around 1992 or so they announced they were looking for a second guitarist. I went home and learned every song from the three albums I had. I was so ready...I met David backstage at one of their shows in a town called Billerica and told him I was ready. I was so naive. He said "no thanks, kid, we've already found someone". I was heartbroken. LOL!

Great video and very visually appealing hotel. The collectibles in the lobby and corridors were framed by the local artists at WestRoxburyFraming.com

Saw the Neighborhoods a bunch of times back in the day. They were as good as any band, ever. Seriously. On a good night, they were as good as it is possible to be.

I'll never understand why The Neighborhoods didn't become huge. They were 10 times the band The Jam was. They put on an amazing show and they wrote absolutely killer songs.
