I didn't know Rickard Malmsten wrote that kind of good music. But now I know. He is my friend in real life.

A climate scientist that I like and respect is predicting an eminent collapse of civilization based on the dissapearance of Arctic multi-year ice and the rise in methane atmospheric content brought about by the loss of that crucial link in the chain of our extreamly fragile life support system. Anyway jazz has always been pretty much a Labour of love. So I am living each day like I know our world is on the edge of extinction. So I am out on the streets of Copenhagen Denmark (us expat) playing my bill evans influenced labour of love sharing my wordless truth everyday. I feel a bit like one of the musicians on Titanic. But never felt more in sync.

Paul Desmond got Chris Potter into Jazz. So I'd like to here his subtone. I know he's got one. My 1st exposure to Potter was over Wheeler Changes. A harmonic lyrical landscape.

What an opportunity to hear this unpretentious, sensitive, and intelligent perspective on music and musicianship! Kurt is an amazing human being and had great fortune growing up in such a creative, tolerant, and supportive environment that certainly shaped him as a person and as the musician he would become. Thanks Kurt for sharing your perspective of your life and work.

Such a rude audience...be quiet so we can hear the musicians ...what is wrong with people today? You are there to hear the music not to hear conversations...it was a great musical performance...why all the noise?
