I randomly played with you once. You lead the best you could. You called 2 people to come with you immediately into the cave to nuke a den. But it all failed and the swarm was non stop.

One-shots can be customized for a single player if need be. Just requires time and prep work to make sure it is balanced.

@@Kdmud im actually doing that very thing as a personal practice. I got into solo playing when i had to seperate from my group. It does take some time and a practice, but it is possible. Shrinking stat blocks, and fudging some stats. The main hurdle for me was splitting the dm and player/pc perpectives.

I think there is a jack frost monster aswell in tome of beasts 3 which can easily be a whimsy winter adventure

I think so too. There are a lot of winter themed monsters all over. Just gotta find them. But there are a plethora of ideas and options.

I've stepped in that cowpie for my halloween oneshot. was running a oneshot where Baba Yaga tasked the party with getting her a book from a library for her. Turned out the library was in the shadowrealm. The one shot lasted 3 halloweens 😂

@@mochabearshobbyden yea it was a great time. They ended up in ashadow goblin town on the banks of the river styx. They had to help the town from drifting out to shadowsea before they could get to the library. Chotic town with panicking goblins was a hoot to rp and theyre responses was priceless.

2nd adventure in keys from the golden vault is a casino heist! This would be a good add on for that. The roll20 version of that adventure is missing stuff and needs some supplemental help.

Welcome to the world of MCDM! I recommend the Beastheart next as it’s another amazing class for D&D. As for the Illrigger I’ve been playing alongside one for 6 years now and I say its wild to watch on the table, it use to be more broken but now it’s more in line with the rest of the table

The art is taken from MCDM, it does have a lot of aoe lock downs and close distances because it was made to siege player strongholds and defenses, armys, & security, also MCDM. It is a downloadable class pdf found on their site, it's concept was Hellish anti-paladin debuffer. The subclasses are rouge tanks, warlocks, and Hellish infantry. MCDM has been a prevalent youtuber and relevant GM teaching many 5e DMs for the past 10 years.

Sounds needlessly complicated. One can have a similar effect with a Tiefling Fiend Pact Hex Blade Warlock. And still fit the theme.

I would not let players/party embrace classes that a basically demon/devil worship based. Now can you have a game thread where they get corrupted and then have a redemption arc. One of my best was a paladin who fell made it back to LG. He never became evil but still had to prove himself.

@ I see where you’re coming from now with that. I am actually currently running an evil campaign for some players and this would be an ideal for class to throw into it. Evil trying to outdo each other while also dealing with heroes. But the simpler evil vs good players would be counterproductive to include this class for sure.

@@spiderstrand2 May be hard to grasp, the games were never basic because the story was fantastic. Bottom line rules you use really don’t matter as long as adventures were fun. One point on where wotc took rules was they wanted to be able to convert rules in a code-able structure so it could be digitized for computer games and now online play.

If you think the Illrigger is cool, you should check out MCDMs other stuff like Flee, Mortals. They do have independently published stuff so DND beyond is not the only way to access the Illrigger

I don't think it's necessarily more versatile than the warlock, unless you go with the caster subclass. It's more martial in nature, and it's seals are still not as versatile as spells. I do think it's super cool though.

I love these rare book projects. Man, I have so many of these Kickstartes up in the air and you are still showing me some I'm missing. Decent art on these books for a studio I have almost never heard of.

MB, I totally get it! I have noticed that I have been leaning more towards your gaming channel, not for any other reason than I only have so much time and days I can watch. The Hobby Den was were I first discovered you, so it’s always going to be a fav😊 I have to say, I miss the unboxings and I know the WOTC may not be something you want to dip into, that said, it would be interesting to hear your take on the changes. While I have found the painting videos interesting, I’m a watcher, so I don’t have as much insight as someone who is an enthusiast. Love your event vlogs, more of those and talks about your take on games and releases would be great! Thanks for sharing what’s been going on for you, I appreciate all you are doing👍🏽

One niche I think would be cook is to once in a while drop a short where you pock a city somewhere, and talk about a game store there. I have traveled a lot, and every city I visit, I go out of my way to find a local book store or game shop, as my souvenir.
