Hi Jamie, hope you are doing well. To answer your question 'can I prove?' Well I am inclined to think there is very little I can prove. Proving, I suppose is one and the same as convincing someone of something. I might explain why I am convinced and why I believe something and manage to convince others based on the evidence which I present. If the evidence is rather compelling than others might accept evidence as proof and be willing to change their views, but those who are unwilling to believe will not even in the face of great proofs. If I said 'I believe there is life on Mars, but you are a skeptic, then I would need to present so very convincing evidence of my claims. By the way, I am not convinced there is life on Mars, I only chose the example, because extraordinary claims need extraordinary evidence. Now with regards to the bible revealing what God thinks, I don't believe this is very difficult to prove, but dome assumptions must be made. Firstly we must understand that the bible finds it's source from God, and that God exists. If these two things are not accepted, then it is not possible to convince that the bible is God's thoughts. However if accept these two assertions, that God exists and has spoken to us in the bible, then the third premise follows logically for God has most certainly shared His thoughts within the bible. But I wonder if your question is, does God exist and can you prove it? This is the deeper question which has implications about thr bible and our response to it. So can I prove to you God exists? I likely cannot, but I think you will recognize that I am fully convinced of God's existance, and have devoted my life to that belief. I could tell you of so many ways God has revealed Himself to me and shown me that what I experience and know of Him are true to the bible's revelation and match with history, human nature, and all knowledge of the world and universe.
