With the mace in the game I think they should add a heavyweight potion: Made with Nether Wart and an iron ingot One time use, makes the player very heavy and slams them down when they fall. Increases mace damage by 50% and when you hit the ground, you bounce back up with slime block physics

Fun fact, Doom used an array of pre-generated random numbers, and it would just loop through those. This way the game would be deterministic, but also feel a little random. (It can achieve this randomness through the fact that you don't play exactly the same way each time, as in one play through you may go through the game one way, but in another one, you may go through the game in a different way, which leads to things asking for a random number in a different order.)

I wouldn't call that recursion. This is recursion: f(0) = 0 f(x) = 1 + f(x - 1) It's a function that calls itself. What you are explaining is just a function, and you just happen to pass it it's own output. What you are explaining is essentially this: a = f(x) b = f(a) c = f(b) This is not recursion.

afaik, true random number generators still use a predictable method. It's just that their seed is based on something unpredictable, like lava lamps, or the nuclear decay of an object.

This is very interesting, but there is a question of how to predict the collision, since in a lot of cases finding out that the objects overlap is too late, because you might never want them to intersect at any point in time. Does that mean you have to run the check at every frame??? It is one thing to calculate detection in a static frame and I guess a whole different beast, to calculate this dynamically with thousands of objects moving on the screen.... :D

Re: SAT I don't get the "parallel" and "angle" part. The last time I implemented SAT, I had to get the edge normal(the axis), project each vertex to the normal to get the min and max edges then test that with the other polygon whether both min-max overlap. If there is a separating axis, get out of the test early since only one separating axis is needed to determin if they are not colliding.

One thing i hate when working with pixel art is that a lot of software assumes it doesn't exit. It will just blur any image regardless of size and often lack an option to turn this off. And then you have to scale the image up for no real reason.
