Hope the restoration has been coming along okay. We purchased a brand new Fleetwood popup in 2005 and used it fairly often for 4 or 5 years, then it sat in our garage mostly for 14 years. It needed some work... a new rebuilt lift, some plumbing hoses, and a few other minor things. The canvas and interior were still almost like new. Decided this was the year to fix it up, get it out and use it. I put an air conditioner on it, fixed the lift, plumbing, 3 new tires, wheel bearings, fresh water fill hose, and battery. Probably $4000 all totalled. It's in great shape now. Yeah, I put more into it than it is probably worth, but a new one would cost me at least $15k now. We got all the kids back together (pretty hard these days!) for a 9 day, 1600 mile camping trip this Summer and had a great time - just like when the kids were young and the popup was new. That A/C made it so much better too. Should last us a long time! Very happy.

Betcha had to scrap the whole thing once you saw the ant infestation. When you pulled up the rear, you probably found more underneath the entire pop-up camper. For $200.00, it probably wasn't worth it to continue with the project because like you said in a prior video, once you put $1,500 into it, it's no longer a $200.00 find. Nice try though!

It's been over a year since this video came out, just wondering like everyone else, what happened to the trailer build....

Sorry for my initial comment. I should of kept watching. But now that I saw this one, I'm not alone in saying, where's the rest?

I actually had something that size some years ago. Ended up living in it for almost a year. I would never have thought to pull it with my jeep. Any updates would be great!

Manufacturers cheaped out on decking for campers. I have failing floor in a tent camper and de lamination on floors of a hybrid. Great that your positive attitude has guided your mission.

Great find for $200. That’s a newer model. I’m surprised some people let them get into such rough shape. I just bought a 1985 Skamper for $50. It looks almost new.

Dan, I'm a pastor as well. I'm looking at a 2007 Utah, they are asking $1000.00, I'm going to offer $800.00. Love the series.

I bought a Coleman Fleetwood Cheyenne a year ago, just getting around to start turning it into a hard side no-pop-up! Using the existing roof. I paid $1500 for mine, but better shape than yours. Still will be a great camper when finished though!

Those are not ants their termites and you just let them loose in your yard and carted them home from wherever you bought that camper from. You need to treat the remaining wood this left because even though you don’t see and don’t think there are any that got past the storage box, they most likely did sorry for the bad news.

Hi, new to the channel. I watched your videos about the $200 Coleman Pop-up Camper, but noticed you have no other videos after ripping off the back storage cabin. Did you ever finish it & do you still have the Pop-up? I enjoyed those videos.

I just nabbed a FREE Coleman camper (I'm in MA). So psyched to see your channel.

I am now officially a new subscriber! The video that I just watched before this was of the same exact trailer! But it would spy a young lady who lives in Wisconsin and I can't think of her name. I will have to go back and look at it. But you 2 are in the same boat. But hers was $500 that it was intact with the exception of on the roof line. I'm left in the right side. The little angle valleys at the head which serve as a gutter, ended up, leaving a little bit of damage. So keep that in mind period I look forward to the journey that you and your wife make on this endeavor and I wish you all of the luck in the world! I'll stay tuned.

So do you still have this Utah? And have you had to rebuild the roof yet?

Haven't been out there in a while. It's a ways from the house but worth the trip. Ridden the new Wildwood a few times. Not as much elevation change as BPT but still a nice place to ride.
