I think you just took on a nightmare customer. Hopefully you learned the motor wasn't actually running backwards.

If you hook up brown lead to C and the purple to fan on cap it will run backwards

If your burner comes on, and stays lit, and the fan comes on too… then you might have a duct work issue.

Well done. You told and showed everything. Now you and we other technicians will be called less often and you and we will earn less. You are great. I wish you would forget to close the valve and get fucked for it. 😂😂😂

Wonder whose idea was to place the controller onto the motor housing :D Really dumb.

If you don't have the part and have to go get one do you charge for a second trip like my service guy did?

We typically work on flat rate. So a burner service would be a specific cost no matter if I had to run and get stuff or not.

To me - R-421a is the best - same pressure as R-22 no other thing a has to be do - using over 8 years- no call back so far - and still doing my maintenance services to the same units - even the compressor run a lot silent and current-

Voltage over 270vac will fry an inverter board. We install ICM493 surge/voltage protection control on all our installs.

Just took the latest Bosch training class a couple weeks ago. Trainer was showing us a new spray coating that you can put on any board or electronics to protect from moisture. Stuff is so good he was touching the line voltage inputs and the voltage wouldn't shock through the coating. He said you can coat the evap coil too and extend the life from rust and corrosion.

I wonder if those ECMs could be replaced with a standard AC 1/2 hp blower motor? Is there any feedback to the control board. Seems a lot more reliable to have a quality 120 volt standard motor, let it run constant, last 20 years or so.

As long as the system isn’t a communicating system you can put a PSC motor in there with a relay to bring the fan on with a G call. I’ve done it before. If it is communicating, you can’t because the motor sends and receives data to the control board.

I bought the exact same one off of Amazon last week to help confirm I had no leaks in my heat exchanger. I also stuck it up my car's exhaust pipe to confirm it was working. It had the best rating on Amazon. New subscriber & DIY on furnaces. Your channel is entertaining. Thx!

I don’t know about you but I find I have more problems with the ceiling units versus the wall units. 🤔 lol an I would much rather work on a wall unit than the ceiling unit. As I have explained to Employees I provide you with a camera phone for a reason !! Always take pictures prior to disassembly. It makes reassembly so much easier specially if it’s a day or two later cause you had to wait for Parts an ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure!😂😂 nice job on a good training video!!
