They should be hiring a videographer to make these tutorial videos. At the very least, film it on their phones or something.

As someone in the Caribbean, I would say that sometimes people who have not interacted much with the diaspora can miss the nuance and lump everyone in the category of 'foreigner'. But some people from the diaspora have a better understanding of the culture than those of us in the Caribbean who take it for granted. So try not to take their judgments too much to heart.

Broad ranging and insightful discussion. Probably the only downside was the panorama footage you shared with Ash and not with the audience lol. Had me feeling left out 😄

Still listening to the podcast, but on the topic of soca songs that should be played more, Destra's and Shurwayne's power catalogue from the 2000s definitely deserve a mention. Destra is known as the Queen of Bacchanal, and yet her song Bacchanal is hardly played, if at all.
@DiSocaAnalyst9 ай бұрын
Thank you so much for listening to our podcast! Absolutely, Destra has some incredible songs that we rarely hear in TT anymore. Would love to hear and see Destra much more.

The only people that are on stage as much as soca artists are Edm DJs. But of course DJing is not as physically demanding as being and artist. My top 5 now in no particular order carnival contract Beat rum bad Inventor DNA Beatin road I’m curious how you 5 has changed now that were fully in season?

Right? Very rare to find another genre like Soca where artists have to push themselves like that. And great list!
