Serious question: I have really thin edges and my excessive pulling especially in my crown area is not gone (thank Jesus) but it’s not full either. Do you think I should loc up or not? If so what size and layout do you prefer? Plus I’m going to do it myself because I’m too embarrassed to go to the shop? Thanks for reading my post.

Yes you can retwist without products, your hair will have to be trained to lay down so it has to be consistent with the maintenance. thank you for your comment!🙂

Nah, you sit under a dryer. Or if you don’t have one and you’re retwisting your own hair, you could use a blow dryer.

I do not use the overhead dryer as much unless it's by request, I blow dry in between as I'm retwisting. I hope this helps!

You palm roll whichever way your clients hair grows, what most comfortable for you, Or to the clients preference. I almost always twist to the right, this day my camera was on my front camera which is probably why it looks like I am twisting to the left. Thank you for your comment! Best Reguards. -Mo

You can use the same method that you see me using, but hydrate the locs with water before twisting also I’m filming from a front camera angle, I am twisting to the right.

@@osama9323 BIG apologize for the delay! BUT depending on where you are in your journey, if you can do a full wash, it is best, but for a quick retwist, you would use a spray bottle with spray settings to control how must water is coming out, you only want to MIST your locs. and Yes, you want to spray each section as you go to help soften so that the product will absorbs, helping you not overuse product. If your doing it yourself, always do what’s comfortable, I.e if your comfortable going to the left instead of right so that. If your seeing a regular Loc specialist, make sure you are getting Loc maintenance once a month.

Sorry it has taken me 3 weeks to reply! 1. You should keep your clips in during the entire retwisting process, also sitting under an overhead dryer for 10-15 minutes helps drastically. 2. A retwist can last 2-3 weeks depending on your loctician and your lifestyle, if your more active and sweat more you want to keep up with your maintenance I. E, interlocking and palm rolling not just retwisting. 3. That is at your discretion. Keep in mind you will require more maintenance if you are just starting your loc journey anyway, so adding washing to unlocked hair will also extend the locking process. However if you are seeing a regular loctician he or she will tame your loose hair at your appointment. If your maintaining Your locs yourself, check out my loc maintenance videos for interlocking and loc maintenance tips. Hope this helps, With Love. MO
