Its so funny when you first hear it like "stfu you never fking listen always in the bathroom always in the kitchen" like wtf is he talking about, and then you listen closer and/or go read the lyrics and youre like oh fuck....this is not a funny song 😅 I love these guys so much though, it really took me off guard the first time but as soon as you read pretty much any of their lyrics it totally changes the perception and (to me) becomes a true piece of art which is really refreshing and awesome in a sea of music that is just dry as hell

Thank you. Finally someone mentioned Queens of the Stone Age. The flow, groove and vocals of this song reminded me very much of them. But the chunk, tone and certain riffs are much like Deftones and several other late 90's Nu Metal bands. My first impression was that Korn, Deftones and Queens of the Stone Age had a secret love child. As an old school Metalhead from the 90's having worked in the industry for a while I very much look forward to seeing what these guys bring to the table. I am very impressed with them thus far.

I had a band that I wrote and arranged all the instruments. Went in to recording with 5 songs and came out with 13. The first 5 were planned and scripted. The other 8 were like… my brother and I jammed on this riff 10 years ago, can I make a song out of it? Then full on writing a banger(for me) in under an hour. It does not surprise me that these musicians could write and record such a song in a week. How tight everything is a statement to their proficiency.
@metal-adjacent10 ай бұрын
Fair enough. I just know how intricate a recording process can be. But of course, a lot of different approaches are used.
@mybrotherjames857910 ай бұрын
@@metal-adjacent my point, I guess l, is that creative juices can excellerate when approached with a deadline. I made my own originals and slightly inspired songs. Many years was 5 songs, a month with pressure is 8 songs. I honestly don’t you think you understand how songs happen.

"This reminds me of something, so much, and I cant put my finger on it" - Pretty much sums this up. I've watched like 10+ reaction videos to this, and the comments name pretty much every nu-metal band in existence. I feel the exact same way, it reminds me of several bands, but none at the same time. Amazing song, cant wait to see what they do next.
@mediumvillain10 ай бұрын
Reminds me of a lot of late 90s-early 00s post-grunge and more mainstream nu-metal & alt metal, but there's some twists to it, some contemporary metal, a little R&Bish. I mean, there are a lot of specific bands I could name but people have mostly already named them. Sounds pretty good and fairly polished for a new band working together less than a year though.
@Doggepp10 ай бұрын
@@mediumvillain I agree 100% - Everyone will draw their own comparisons, and I guess its the same with their inspiration. And as you say, its how polished they are which surprised me. And if this is the first thing they release, which they did in like a week, I wonder what they will produce with more time. Definitely looking forward to seeing more

Maybe a bit. It's tricky because I do this live, and every video is a different volume. Also, usually I edit the video and add compression which helps my mic sound a bit.

This guy is sooo smart... he retired from his previous band where he wasn't leading and maybe not doing the sound he liked, so he went back to KZbin and continued building a mega hyped community with his awesome tricks and showoffs. Once he had millions of followers, he knew launching his new band and making it something big in internet would be really easy, furthermore, his hook about "we are aware this is gonna be reacted and we'll post all reactions in our social media" is another brilliant play, because he knows a lot of the reactors will now do it fast to get more views and get hooked to the hype he generated... the results are there ... about 780k views in his first day!!
