I would love to buy one for my 2018 Tacoma dclb but it’s not rated to haul that amount of weight, wondering what your doing to suspension? My door tag says 950lbs load capacity including passengers.

I just got one for my 2015 taco prerunner. Dry, the swift model is like 950#. I put Firestone air bags on the back and it works great on roads/highways. I’m upgrading my brakes (they needed changing anyway). If you plan on going off road you’ll probably want to upgrade your suspension.

Great question. Like Pete mentioned, airbags are always a great option. Depending on where you'll take your camper and what you're doing you may want to do a more intense suspension upgrade. Helper springs, suspension stabilizer, etc. We recommend talking to an offroad shop that does truck suspension upgrades. Several FWC dealers across the country can help with purchasing a camper and upgrading your suspension. See your closest dealer and feel free to give them a ring! Best suspension upgrade I did on my previous truck, 2012 F150, was the Torklift Stableload. I now installed a set on my 2022 F250. Made a world of difference that's not to hard on my wallet.

If you isolate the hot water heater with the valve how do you get any air in the hot water lines? I did my winterization just like you said and there is NO air out of the sink or shower hose when turned to hot, NONE. That worries me. I own a 2024 Raven. Please reply.

I've ridden a stock one-wheel-drive 1x2 BMW motorcycle solo the entire length of the Pan-American Highway from Colorado to Deadhorse, AK and then to Tuktoyaktuk, NWT and the Arctic Ocean before turning around and heading to Moab, UT for a month of riding in the desert, back to Colorado for some maintenance and then headed south all the way to Ushuaia, Argentina and back to Buenos Aires, Argentina. From Buenos Aires I flew myself and the bike back to Houston and then rode through winter roads in February back to Colorado. For what it's worth, Deadhorse and Tuk are both hundreds of miles north of the Arctic Circle. You can do that entire trip on a stock BMW motorcycle and two soft saddlebags or on a basic stocker 4x4 truck of any kind. Maybe some tires and airbags if you want to take the truck to some out of the way places. People needlessly do this same type of heavy modification to motorcycles and then never go anywhere when in reality, the bike is ready to roll the entire 37,000 mile trip right off the showroom floor. I can confirm that.

I’m not a fisherman, but I do like to hunt. Would be nice to punch out bigger holes and use the locker for rifles. Everything else is just fine. I like the set up.

My partner and I add up to about 380 pounds on my 2011 Kestrel which was made for the Tundra. Never once have we noticed or even thought it might be a bit too much. It's solid.

Love traveling and adventuring in our Hawk model camper! Just wish the underbed storage and the roof a/c were available when we bought ours. The batwing awning and the variety of lights that we had installed. Really add to our comfort level while using the camper.

I did all this for 3 years and then added RV antifeeeze. Then watching another FWC video for the newer HWH they drain the tank. So I opened my hot water heater panel on my Dometic HWH and drained more water out of the hot water tank. I would suggest doing this and this appears to be a possible oversight in this video. I am not going to add RV antifreeze because it takes forever to get that taste out of the system.

Do all your campers require drilling through the bed? I am interested but want to avoid adding holes if possible and would love something in line with the scout ratchet assembly.
