That is precisely the non-555 timer circuit I was looking for, as I had issues with that IC not allowing the LED to turn completely off. Thank you! For those following this circuit, 0:19 is supposed to state 4.7 Kilohm. The video goes very fast, so I broke it down as follows. I altered the circuit slightly for a 3mm Red LED that fades on/off slower and more smoothly at that rate. 0:51 Rail above C1815 is Negative Rail. 0:57 is 1 Megohm (Brown/Black/Green). 1:14 LED (-), shown as top lead in video, connects to C1815 Base. 1:18 is 1 Kilohm (Brown/Black/Red). 1:27 is 4.7 Kilohm (Yellow/Violet/Red). 1:33 is 22 Microfarad (I swapped with 220 Microfarad). 1:40 is 22 Microfarad (I swapped with 220 Microfarad). 1:45 is 22 Microfarad (I swapped with 100 Microfarad). 1:48 is 4.7 Kilohm (Yellow/Violet/Red). 1:52 is 4.7 Kilohm (Yellow/Violet/Red). 2:03 Yellow lead is (+)12 VDC. 2:10 Black lead is (-)12 VDC Enjoy :)
