@deetremper5 күн бұрын
Most of them do, but the Seas and wind make it impossible to land a lot of times. Therefore, they use a basket.😊

I’ve been on three cruises where they had a med-evac. One by air, one we pulled into San Diego and one we turned around to let someone off. One trip someone died and they put him in the morgue.

I really love hearing a bunch of "local experts" talk in depth about USCG rescue helicopter operations. As a veteran of 8 years service as a USCG search and rescue helicopter crewman (in HH52A and HH3F helicopters), I got a kick out of listening to these people speculate on what this H60 was going to do - and how it was going to do it. No; it was never going to land on the deck of a cruise ship since the pilot has no way of knowing if the deck is strong enough to support the weight of the helo. This was always going to be a hoist evolution.
@deetremper5 күн бұрын
It was very interesting when the Helicopter kept circling the boat after everyone said the patient was hoisted up. He must have dropped the basket and a medic who got the patient ready and then he came back to pick him up. Very stressful occupation

We have not done any tours this trip at all. We have been to these ports many times. Sounds as though you have not. In Cozumel in the past we took a taxi to Chankanaab Beach Adventure Park one time, rented a jeep another time and drove around the whole island. Thiscwould be a book if I go through everything. Just go with your first instinct and go with it. Have fun see you on the ship

@deetremper11 күн бұрын
We will be on the ship also as we are doing a b2b. I would check your baggage if I was you since rooms are not ready when you board. Keep your wine with you in a carry on with medicines and whatever you may want until your luggage arrives. You pass through metal detector and everything in pockets and carry on will go through machine. My advice is to go directly to your muster station and check in. After that you are free to wander the ship. Everyone usually heads to the Windjammer buffet. Enjoy see you around the ship

You covered every angle of the room, bathroom and balcony so it felt like I was walking through the room myself. I truly hope the hotel has been refurbished now, a year later, because we are staying there this weekend for Mother's Day. We are trying to get upgraded to a suite, and I hope it ends up being worth it because these rooms are expensive whether points or money! So again, thank you for the "warning" and I hope we get something much cleaner and much better...

Hello, I just wanted to see an actual hotel Patron of the hotel as I have booked it for us for our cruise going on Carnival this year. Usually do Royal & Disney but branching out to try all of the Cruise Brands to see which one we like best. Started cruising in 2010 & Disney was our first. Wanted more space for my family hotel wise & we have a special needs child. I wanted to feel somewhat like home away from home with my daughter having her own room. I like how you showed the outside area, the parking lot and pool area. I wished you'd shown the hadicapped parking like how many spaces. Also, what else is nearby besides other hotels. Are there any stores/restaurants within walking distance? You mentioned you rented a car. The pricing is for your entire stay or is that per day? Do you know if there are car rental companies that have cruise pricing that's similar to cruise parking at the hotel? Sorry for long comment. I just want to be better prepared with traveling with our special needs daughter. First time going to Cape Canaveral. Last cruise before covid we got stranded for over an hour when we were promised to be picked up for return to airport. Overall, I mentioned to my hubby that we might rent a vehicle to avoid that happening again but the car rentals have gone up per day in pricing & we wouldn't be driving so idk as of yet unless we get a really great deal. I appreciate this video, It was really helpful & we will be staying there soon. 🙂Ps... I forgot to ask if the hotel offers shuttle to Port for cruises, as well as handicapped shuttle bus with lift or ramp, f so, do u know how much. I will call tomorrow at the hotel for that info as well.
@deetremper Жыл бұрын
There is not much within walking distance from this hotel. We did walk up to a pizza restaurant and McDonalds one time. This may be difficult with a handicap though. Mainly there is hotels around this hotel. We did not rent a car but drove from Kentucky down. I would check out using Uber from the airport. I did hear that this hotel does not have the extended parking any longer. We paid $308.00 in January 2023 for the room and the parking. We are going on a cruise out of Port Canaveral in December 2023 and are staying at the Hilton Garden Inn Cocoa Beach Oceanfront because they have extended parking for our vehicle.
