When I was a kid, I asked my dad what it means to get "friendly down in the sand" and he said it means they built sand castles. I believed that till I was 25.

What is the guy at 3:05 actually supposed to be doing? Like he’s John travoltas stunt double sitting there thinking “why am I like this”

I discovered the movie and this song when I was very young and didn't know any English. I remember singing it in pure gibberish ^^' I'm happy to understand the lyrics now.

Summer loving had me a blast Summer loving happened so fast I met a girl crazy for me Met a boy cute as can be Summer days drifting away To-ah! Oh, the summer nights Well-a, well-a, well-a, huh Tell me more, tell me more Did you get very far? Tell me more, tell me more Like does he have a car? Uh huh (doo doo) Uh huh (doo doo) Uh huh (doo doo doo doo doo) She swam by me, she got a cramp He ran by me, got my suit damp I saved her life, she nearly drowned He showed off, splashing around Summer sun, something's begun But ah! Oh, the summer nights Well-a, well-a, well-a, huh Tell me more, tell me more Was it love at first sight? Tell me more, tell me more Did she put a fight? Dow, doobie do, doobie do Doobie, doobie, doobie Dow, doobie do, doobie do Doobie, doobie, doobie, dow Took her bowling in the Arcade We went strolling, drank lemonade We made out under the dock We stayed up 'til ten o'clock Summer fling, don't mean a thing But ah! Oh, the summer nights Whoa, whoa, whoa Tell me more, tell me more But you don't gotta brag Tell me more, tell me more 'Cause he sounds like a drag Shoo bop bop, shoo bop bop Shoo bop bop, shoo bop bop Shoo bop bop, shoo bop bop Shoo bop bop, yeah! He got friendly, holding my hand Well, she got friendly down in the sand He was sweet, just turned eighteen Well, she was good, you know what I mean Summer heat, boy and girl meet But ah! Oh, the summer nights Whoa, whoa, whoa Tell me more, tell me more How much dough did he spend? Tell me more, tell me more Could she get me a friend? It turned colder, that's where it ends So I told her we'd still be friends Then we made our true love vow Wonder what she's doing now Summer dreams ripped at the seams But, oh Those summer Nights! (Tell me more, tell me more, more, more)

Anyone else have ADHD & your brains change the lyrics to songs? As a kid, I couldn’t stop my mind thinking *“Demi Moore Demi Moore, did she put up a fight?* Which actually became really annoying. 30 years later, it’s *still* really annoying! 😂

Our mother took us to the movies on Saturdays and would ask us to sit through this 3x so she could do some shopping and have some alone time. We did that for months. I think we saw it 50x in the movies.

2 years ago today the world lost Olivia Newton John💔💔😭😭 I remember that day I can’t believe it’s been 2 years since she died. R.I.P ONJ❤️❤️
John travolta's nihhhhht" always gets me we stood up, till o click." Those rebels. D man I really thought high school would be like this I remember my mum was working 2 jobs back then, we had no money lot she worked extra shifts to save some cash and she took me and my brother to watch grase. We queued up ( me and my brother in our " starsky and hutch " cargans. She had knitted us for our birthday) we had popcorn cokes and hot dogs. Until later, I never realised the the sacrifice she made for us made for us two at that time, to give us a special night out as a family we sat together and watched grase and it's one of my most treasured memories. Cancer came for my mum a short while after, thank she knew she was ill and the clock was ticking thanks mum x. Could we take a moment just say how great the choreography was in this song... totally iconic, form the dance routine to the actors making it took so incredible... sometimes I wish those long skirts were still in style, they seem fun to dance in. The first high school musical. I wish high school was more like grase
