"I'm amazed that my H Q D U P S tote is still in such good condition even after a few months of use. The leather is well crafted and still looks as good as when I first bought it."

Thats correct..i agree with Japan government..please implement as soon as possible more strict and orderly rules and laws regarding proper conduct and behavior of foreign tourist.those who do not abide by the law..give steep or expensive fines or penalties..do it at once Japanese govt. I wonder, how did Japanese and Portugalese people understood each other? How could they even learn if they didn’t have a common language? Who was the first person that understood both languages? I would love to know how it actually was..

The enmity between England and Portugal was short lived. It only happened because, at the time, Portugal was united to Spain in the so-called 'Iberian Union'. Spain was the true enemy of England (hence the infamous, Spanish-led 'Invincible Armada'). In due time, Portugal expelled the Spanish and England and Portugal became best buddies again. In fact, England and Portugal have the oldest mutual friendship treaty anywhere in the World - The Treaty of Windsor, which was celebrated in 1386 and it is still standing. Because of this treaty, for instance, Portuguese troops invaded the capital of Spain, Madrid, while the British fought the Spanish at sea and as a result, Gibraltar (the gateway to the Mediterranean Sea) became a British possession; because of this Treaty, Portugal was the only European nation to defy Napoleon Bonaparte when the Emperor of the French demanded all European ports to be closed to Bristish trade - Portugal stood by its oldest ally, and as a result, the nation was repeatedly invaded by the French and the Spanish (Portugal never recovered its former power after these three invasions - the French wrecked, pillaged and burned the whole country) - in due time, the British arrived with Arthur Wellesley and together, Portugal and the UK, imposed the first serious defeats on Napoleon - that was during the Peninsular War. Finally, during World War II, Winston Churchill asked the Portuguese government for a military base in the Azores, the Portuguese archipelago smack in the middle of the Atlantic. Despite being neutral, Portugal once again obliged and greatly helped the British in their quest for naval supremacy across the pond. During the Falklands War, the Alliance was invoked by Great Britain to request authorization from Portugal to use the air base in the Azores to supply the Atlantic Task Force. These are just a very few examples of cooperation between the UK and Portugal. Just look for "A Timeline of Anglo-Portuguese Relations" from the British Historical Society to know what I mean. In any other context, Adams would not say that his enemies were the Spaniards and the 'Portugals'.
