which cards would you have sold? the gold stars that i have are worth more in 2024 than in 2021 , and a lot of them i bought in 2021. As regards the SWSH cards most of them came out in 2021. So I guess I could have sold my WOTC? Thanks for watching

also a great set man! Perrin SAR and Growlithe AR, Eevee AR, Greninja SAR, and Ursaluna SAR - strong mix of cards. one reason why i didn't put it on my list right now is because i feel we will have 2 years to pick it up - although maybe right now is the bottom price :)

Loving the videos! One Piece is weird, so many expensive cards and yet the boxes are so cheap. Even OP-05 is back down to £130. Are the manga cards just insanely hard to pull? Might be time I started collecting while it's affordable!

I've been buying tons of 151 so now might be a good time to take a pause for the cause. Definitely need to pick up some Lost Abyss and Paradigm Trigger. You're right it's a golden opportunity especially when you compare it to the Lost Origin price. The fact that I could sell one of my Lost Origin boxes and buy 3 Lost Abyss boxes is nuts.

I had the same sentiment as u. I have a decent amount of japanese sword shield boxes but one box I missed the boat was lost abyss (no reprint). eyeing the price here in Australia at 150pound equivalent I couldn't get in but once reprint hit, the only thing I loaded up on was lost abyss. 15-20 boxes in a few shipments (~50pound) I really like how there is a massive chase and opening a box gives me fear and thrill unlike other sets (despite failing the hit) prices seem to have stabilised and just over 2 yrs now I believe is a decently safe buy

thanks for the comment! at the current price it's hard to turn down, considering it was £150 before - exactly that. and not a set that many people have compared to 151. 151 is getting too expensive for now so i really hope we get another reprint in 2025

@@pokemonstatcg the other thing to note is the sheer number of 151 printed. Psa population is over 300k while alot of sword shield sets only at 30k. yes popularity wins in the end but just imagine when the price of 151 does rise how much competition and undercutting u will have to face unloading those boxes. In my opinion I believe 151 is great but the climb will be slower than most anticipate. but that's just me I'm sure the market disagrees lol

Well explained & sensible advice. Lost abyss is older & less likely to be reprinted but still japan 151 is great as most of japans Pokémon boxes are. We'll see if you are as good as Pokémon nostalgia nomics for predicting the future say in 6 months!

I agree on not buying 151 I’m not buying any right now, but 151 is a different set than any that these were compared to. Although lost abyss has a very strong chase card, 151 has a strong nostalgia factor. I work in a card shop and we sell the singles like crazy and can’t keep any sealed in stock. I think 151 is going to be a bigger set than eevee heroes by far. I have 4 lost abyss, 3 151 jpn and 1 volt tackle for reference too.

Agreed with your comments. The oy other japanese set I think that should be considered is Vstar Universe. It's slowly trickling up. Also I do remember this being one of the most enjoyable sets I have opened. Thank you for your provding us with your perspective.

@@mclow2310 thanks for your insight too! VSTAR Universe seems to be high up on most people’s lists for one of the best set lists ever. I’ve been slightly more cautious with High Class sets because of how much they get printed, but still have a decent amount of it. Let’s see how it does in the next year or so!

Yes I will wait for another reprint. Missed this one while was a way on long holiday. However. I also have not picked up yet sets like black flame, shiny treasure and a couple more which all are around £30 now. Would you still recommend Lost Abys over those other sets? Thank you.

151 Japanese Booster box is definitely a great investment! All the great SIRs and the master balls. Mainly the master balls is why I feel like this set will be going for a lot in the future. The chances of pulling a pika master ball is super difficult. I bought a whole case of 151 japanese for like 54 usd average and now they are already selling for 80+. No doubt that people will love the first generation of pokemon. Look at the set Evolutions for english. Super over printed and when I say over printed that set was printed to the ground. But look at the prices of the boxes still holding strong.

i agree with your assessment of the set entirely! the point of my video was more that I think Lost Abyss is more urgent to pick up because it is much less likely to get another reprint, whereas i think people will have another chance to pick up 151 next year for 54 USD as you managed to! thanks for watching

@@pokemonstatcg Oh for sure but when I look from a consumer stand point. The top 10 hits of 151 Japanese sums up to be about 712 usb compared to Lost Abyss's 450 usd mainly coming from the Giritina. I feel like if I were to open Lost Abyss in the future I would be very disappointed with the hit rates mainly because the set depends on pulling Giritina or bust. The reason why eevee heroes does so well is because the fact that you may not pull the Moonbreon, you still have the chance to pull other amazing cards and that is how I feel about 151. Every box guarantees you a unique master ball which is the selling point for this set in the future. I also own Lost Abyss don't get me wrong. Honestly if it wasn't for the master balls this set will be whatever.

@@wintoshi interesting, i guess the question is, with 151 rising to where it is now, would you rather pay 90 - 100 usd for one knowing that you might be able to get it again for 54 usd in 1 year's time, versus lost abyss now for 70 usd but this might be your last chance? that's more the way i looked at it :) 151 as a set is stronger than lost abyss for sure. however, out of 100 investors i'd say probably 90 have 151 boxes, and only 10 have lost abyss. so i guess those are the main reasons why i'm recommending it ahead of 151, for right now. thanks again :)

The problem is that if you have an opportunity to spend some money, i feel its way more interesting to go 151 jap, even if on a 1-2 years, lost abyss could be a better option. On a 5-10 years perspective, i would go 151 jap, hands down. In my mine, 151 has disrupted the market. Such a cool set to open and the return value is good, if you consider that you can grade theses masterballs.
