"what"!, £119.00 for this kit { yep it needs putting together as well}! and using led strips, which are cheap as chips !. you can buy a led cube kit ,8x8x8 which you put together yourself for about 40 quid, lol

just completed a 16x16x16 i cube smart { different colours}, i paid £254 for it, and i can say " its not worth the money"!, everything about it seems to me " rushed"!, the leds are 3mm , no seperate template to build the layers on and solder ! { over 4,000} solderd joints, instead you have to use the actual circuit board ,which has " pre-drilled" holes in it to build the layers { which, if you are not a master solderer you can easily damage the circuit board},no clear instructions, especially when the anode and cathode pins are bent to the required ways, that i discoverd " SHORTING OUT" was a big problem!. i overcame this by slightly bending the solderd joints away from each other at the cover inserts !{ terrible}. looks easy on their instruction video, but in fact its a nightmare, i did complete it eventually, and it does work, but " not worth the time and money"!.

In my Etsy shop, I have 8x8x8 for sale, I have not be ready to sell this 16x16x16 , I'm still in debug the firmware, and I will modify some hardware ( for slave CPU) to make it more easier to update the firmware(don't need to demount LED layers from board, etc )

ESP32 with WLED is far better.... just Saiyan.. and there is a box that is preloaded with WLED for 22 bucks on Amazon and 26 if you want one with a mic for sound reactive led the box is the Gledopto WLED Digital Light Strip Controller WiFi DC5-24V WS2812B 2811 SK6812 RGB RGBW Led Strip Light Controller

i do understand that these maybe handmade. but £404 for an 8x8x8 rgb led cube is crazy, i can buy a 16x16x16 for £303. The ws2812b led cubes were £220 max

My friend, 16x16x16 costs almost 8 times more than 8x8x8 , so 16x16x16 is much more worth than 1.5 times of 8x8x8, at least 7 times , so calculate as u method, it will be 220*7 = 1540 , not 303 ( if 8x8x8 is 220). 😎

@@fabmartel Cables for? , The Max AMP=47A for these 256x4 = 1024 pcs LED , but no one want it be use as a white light, and we can limit the brightness by firmware, So using a 10A power supply, it's OK.

Yes, I can. I have designed a new board using Master CPU + slave CPU to drive more and keep the high frame rate. ( have not updated software to drive move; It's not good of this frame rate , I'd like to make the frame rate , at least like 8*32 x 2 ) , What's u idea?

You don't need to design this : PCB and firmware and software ; You can try to solder components that need hand soldering, to assemble , to check , to pack, to delivery , to pay the delivery fee and .., you will know how much this worth!!!

You don't need buy the software, I'm the designer, the software is for my controller boards using(I design all the software in my KZbin, and all the controller boards , like this, and others).
