If you want to understand the Secret of the Universe, Lovebites is the CLUE. The Universe is made of only 3 things : ENERGY, VIBRATION, FREQUENCY. When you ask the members of Lovebites who are your influences they say "Iron Maiden, Judas Priest, Helloween, Metallica etc.". But they make something own, new and fresh of it, do not just copy. They compose their own music (mostly Miyako, the dark-haired guitarist), write their own lyrics (mostly Asami, the singer) and arrange their music by themselves. All of them are outstanding artists: Miyako not only is a fantastic guitarist but also a virtuoso piano player (listen to "Swan Song" with the Chopin Intro), Asami comes from the R & B, Soul and Jazz music, this band is her first experience with metal. She also is a trained ballerina. Midori, the blonde guitarist, is not only a gorgeous guitarist (nickname "crazy shredder") but also a successful bodybuilder and fitness coach, Miho the bass player is co-founder of the band and left the band in 2021 for personal reasons (now Fami is the new bassist, also fantastic, and with 21 the youngest band member), Haruna the drummer (nickname "little big engine") is a fantastic drummer with astonishing stamina - a lot of their songs are as fast as this one and in concerts they normally play for about 2 hours. She also is co-founder of the band.

Personally, I see this mainly as a mixture of Powermetal and Thrashmetal. Relatively straight forward in terms of style. I mean: even CoB basically played more or less powermetal but with scream vocals 😁

I would love to see you react to Chainbrain - Galneryus Angel of Salvation.... He plays guitar using Rocksmith and this is on of the ha4desr songs he has tried.... very interesting to see him attempt this song.

Welcome to the band with the most hyperbolic fanbase. They're a damn good band, though. Haruna is one of the more interesting drummers I've heard and Midori, the blonde guitarist, is one of my favorite performers. The band is primarily power and thrash metal, though like nearly every band on Earth, they blend in other genres as well. My favorite song from them is "Frozen Serenade," and the live performance of it from this same concert is damn near magical. It's LOVEBITES outside of their usual power/thrash metal box. I think they're at their best when they venture out of that box. I see you've already checked out Hanabie, Nemophila, and BAND-MAID, the latter of which was my introduction to the Japanese rock and metal scene. Congratulations on discovering Lovebites. In their first five years of existence, they put themselves on par with the greatest bands of metal’s golden age. They recently went on a year-and-a half hiatus while they waited out the pandemic and searched for a new bassist, after their founder and original bassist left the band for personal reasons. They announced the new bassist in October 2022 (see below) and dropped their first new song on December 22. Their new album, “Judgement Day”, was released two months later. Japanese metal is on an incredible roll, especially the women, who are kicking ass on an epic scale. Another great band you should check out is Bridear. Founded in 2011, they were in the second wave of all-female heavy-metal bands. They have the classic twin-lead attack and technical rhythm section. They have gone through some changes but have always kept their hard, heavy, technical sound. Their tiny bassist even does death growls! They just released their new album “Born Again” on June 28 and it’s a banger. BURRN is calling it a masterpiece. Metal Hammer compares them to Lovebites. The Queens of the Heavy Metal genre are without question the most talented band of musicians out there today in my opinion, and as you'll be aware of, there is an abundance of super talented bands out there today, but lovebites are on another level. Every song is either good, great or just simply put another 1 of their masterpieces, and they just seem to sound better and better every time you hear them, it's crazy to think about how good they really are, but it's also great to know that real music is still alive and kicking. Lovebites is unquestionably one of my favorite bands. That is probably an understatement. It sounds as though you are joining the Japanese music scene. Frankly, it is the only music I’ve listened to for many years. You mentioned all the different sounds, or sub-genres, which Lovebites is incredible at fusing. So far the band has already released 4 full length studio albums, 4 EPs, a best of compilation and a bunch of live albums, available on CD/DVD/Blu-ray. In 2018 LOVEBITES won the Metal Hammer UK Golden Gods Award for best new band. LOVEBITES have toured in Europe back in 2018/2019 and also recently in 2024. This also includes appearances at most European major metal festivals such as Wacken, Download, Bloodstock, Graspop, Resurrection Fest and Hellfest. They also played their first US shows this year in September. In 2021 the band went into a hiatus, because founder and bassist Miho quit the band for personal reasons. For me they are the best band in their genre and I like them more than any other band playing today. They are as good as the legendary bands of the past - Maiden, Priest, Metallica, Slayer, etc. I wish their were more good heavy metal bands with clean vocals like this. Some of their inspirational bands: Deep Purple, Iron Maiden, Judas Priest, Metallica, Helloween, Testament, Slayer, Anthrax, and a few others. There are many other Japanese rock/meta bands besides Lovebites, Hanabie and Band-Maid you mentioned, you just haven't got to them yet.
