My Mother had a nodule on her Thyroid removed and it ruined her for life she was so self conscious of this horrible scar on her neck! I think I was in elementary school so I maybe 10 or 11. So she was in her 40's so she was still young. And I can't imagine what I would of been like had that happen to me!

Absolutely I am a generation X child. I was born in 1969. I was the kid that went outside. Played on my bike went too far probably without supervision. I’m not gonna lie. I did drink water from the garden hose . Mom told us to go outside and play. She didn’t give us parameters which meant we were on our own. We enjoyed the little stores that had Swedish fish in paper bags for $.50. Gobbled them up as we cycled to the next adventure. With the sugar rush. we knew what time we had to be back home to help make dinner, help clean up dishes because mom doesn’t do everything around here, we did our homework at 8:55 PM. went to bed and hope we passed our test at school. By the way our parents didn’t ask what homework we had, they knew we needed to do our chores first help with dinner, clean up, sometimes sometimes our homework was not finished, because when we showed our parents, they didn’t know wtf it even was.😂😊❤
