Sadly missed on duty ,saw her at Gateshead she’d 52A in October 1964 being oiled ect for return leg of Silver Jubilee Requim to Kings Cross ,oh boy smell it hear👍👍

I maybe in the minority, but I think this wonderful loco looks her best in good old BR green . . . but maybe because that's the livery I loved her in back in the 1950s.

The original engine, 34052, was scrapped in the 1960s. However, the West County class locomotive, 34046 Brauton, was renamed 34052 Lord Dowding to commemorate the 75th anniversary of The Battle of Britain. Hope this is of some help.

Yeah definitely sucked up something hot when motors burn out the bottom case where the fan casing sits doesent catch fire it’s around the top where the vents are that may have damage so whatever it’s picked up assuming a lit cig or hot ashes if it had the paper bag in it would’ve ignited badly

Nah it’s not that you’ve sucked up something like a fag with it and it’s reignited if it was burning out it’d be a lot more worse and it’d sound shit that only sounds like the bearings need oiling the smoke is literally just smoke in the motor unit and tub from whatever you’ve picked up escaping from the back Trust me when these go bang they go bang bad I’ve seen them literally have their motor explode

@@MrElephant47 no bridgemere, I've been to blakemere, and lady heyes, beautiful xmas time, the best for me was dagfields, I buy my coins from the coin shop in there, I know Ryan, who owns the coin shop, I went before xmas about 4 yrs ago we were sitting outside the cafe, even though it was empty, it was getting dark and very foggy it was beautiful, were sat in the fog outside the cafe drinking coffee lol.very picturesque, cant wait to go again, where is bridgemere please is it like dagfields. We go all the time it's been about a year since we last been, were from knotty ash,

@@knottybogeye6387 hi.turn right out of dagfield till you come to the A51 its not far.turn right it's 3.7 miles along that road and it's on the left if you go I think you enjoy it by the way it's got two lovely cafes.😀😀😀😀😀
