What size tank?
@maevecoakley8333Ай бұрын
There's no need to thaw this. You just drop the cube in the tank, it floats, then defrosts quickly and the brine shrimp spread throughout the tank. This is what the manufacturer recommends.

Put a sponge on your filter intake and the fish will pick off the shrimps that get caught on it.

I was told by my LFS that the frozen brine shrimp are a huge source of concentrated nitrates so I should rinse it out in fine mesh filter and then out into tank. Does anyone have any views on this method or is my LFS talk out their ass?
@chillidog12392 жыл бұрын
I've heard that too, maybe a ask a forum? I'm sure you should wash them out though because they have a lot of salt in them

BEST TO TURN OFF PUMP WHILE FEEDING. AFTER 10 MINUTES RESTART. THAT GIVES TIME FOR ALL THE FEED TO BE EATEN.

Hey! Just to let you know, the best time to feed your gecko is at dawn or dusk. It is a common misconception that they are nocturnal. They are actually crepuscular which means they are most active around dawn or dusk.

Hey please don’t feed your crestie mealworms because they have exoskeletons and crested geckos aren’t meant to be able to digest the exoskeletons you can hurt ur gecko!
@emsadventures11542 жыл бұрын
Yeah, they work better as an occasional treat once or twice a month.
@squiblebib13532 жыл бұрын
Crested geckos can digest mealworms easily if you have good husbandry... they are the same risk as crickets. Only thing is mealworms are high in fat, that's why they should only eat mealworms occasionally.

Yes about the filter thing, I just turn off my filter when feeding micro worms or brine shrimp. Helps all my loaches when the food can settle in the bottom
@marinevet41313 жыл бұрын
Couple things, one you don't have thaw them out and two I normally turn my filters off for a min or two while my fish feed.

There’s no exact way to do it but that’s just how I feed them

Are you just dropping the cube in the Tank or?? I'd rather thaw em out in a cup.
