I found this video as I’m just about to order a kit for my Ranger. Pat only does paid comments. Hard to believe anything he says/sells
@Baylin9911 ай бұрын
Nearly every lift kit is 45mm+ or 2 inches. Outback armour having a 2” lift is not revolutionary at all. Also, lifting your vehicle does not help with the fitment of larger tyres on IFS vehicles. Lift changes the resting height of the vehicle but the wheel will still travel in the same range of motion from stock (i.e. bumpstop to full shock length). You should make sure you’re educating people on the true advantages of lifting a vehicle, not spreading common myths.

thank you, Pat, very informative. not meaning to be too critical but I can't understand why the music in your clip has to be sooo loud isn't it supposed to be background music.

I liked this susp over the EFS I’ve always ran. Decided to give it a try in the 2018 dmax I had and it was faultless everything worked very well, I found it a bit softer than the EFS. Canny confirm whether the front end sagged at all after 70thousand odd kms of 4x4 With bullbar and cable winch though I should have checked original measurements!

On the new bt50 and dmax you can’t even get the rubber cap off no room , to service you have to take whole strut assembly off and my adjusters on the front don’t sound like that can hardly even tell where notches are and are not smooth they are quit difficult to adjust.Am taking it back to suspension shop for some answers wtf.

I've had OA on a Prado since it first came out and been very happy with it. The past few months I have been working out of an office in Cessnock and let me tell you, the ride has been shit on the roads out there, to the point where today my stomach and sides are aching from the 20 km of really rough dirt road. So I got to thinking, last time it was serviced was a few months ago so went out and checked and yep, all 4 dials on fucking 20! I usually run them on 10 so obviously the snotty little 1st year apprentice I pay full mechanics hourly rate to has been fucking with something he should not be touching. Maitland Toyota Service, useless.

You can put 285/70/17 on a ranger with no lift +30 offset wheels

Keep in mind that technically on a non-raptor ranger the 285/70/17 is above the legal overall diameter allowed. 275/70/17 is as tall as you can run. 285/70/17 ends up being a 62mm larger than stock. 50mm being legal. The +30 offset is the lowest you can go as well due to the 50mm maximum track width increase, wheel centre to wheel centre.

Your tyres are oversize, 285/70 17 probaly not good telling viewers that the increase in suspension has "allowed" youth put bigger tyres on. Id be more worried about insurance in the event of an accident.

Think you’ve got it the wrong way around mate. Dialing up, decreases the oil that can bypass the oil bypass system. And dialing down, increases the oil that can bypass. Increase bypass (-) for comfort Decrease bypass (+) for control
@OutbackArmour3 жыл бұрын
You're correct, Scotty. Adjusting clockwise restricts the oil flow that will increase the firmness. Adjust anti-clockwise for softer adjustment, clockwise for firmer adjustment.

I’m having issues with the rear adjustable’s not wanting to adjust fully in their range. The Customer service when I rang head office was unsatisfactory in my opinion! They will tell you to service them every single month, yes you heard right, every single month! but when I said that they are new and I haven’t driven the car that much at all within the first month, they told me to pay the fitters to have them checked out!! So much for a 3 year warranty I said! Poor customer service from an Aussie company! Very poor after sales service from an Aussie company! Apart from the rear shock issues, I’m happy with how they perform compared to my old Bilstein’s.
@OutbackArmour3 жыл бұрын
We're sorry to hear about your recent experience. We suggest that the adjustables are checked once a month, and only serviced if they are not working properly. What do you mean by "not wanting to adjust fully in their range"? We'd be happy to speak with you about this. Please call the Head Office and ask for Rod.
@sergecolicchia71573 жыл бұрын
Thanks for your reply. There are approx 20 clicks in the adjustments from soft to firm. When I clearly explained this and the fact that it takes a few minutes of mucking around, back and forth with the dial, that only then could I get to 20 clicks.Have you services them yet? They are a few weeks old...I haven’t been anywhere! It gets better, then I said that the next day, without even taking the car out of the driveway, I am back to half the range of adjustment, or slightly better. Oh, you must have something sticking? Take it back to the fitters and get them to check it out he said. Sure I said, and is it covered under warranty? No, you must pay them to check it out! Hmmm...
