Really enjoyed your video!! I’m cycling the Hebrides in a week, south to north fully loaded & camping all the way. My plan is to return to Oban on the Caledonia way from Inverness. I have purchased the maps but really struggling to find suitable camp sites along the route. I’ve just found out it’s illegal to wild camp as the route/ canal is a national monument so wild camping not allowed. I just wondered if you had any advice at all. Regards, Carl

Hi. You not disappoint after this trip. I was camping in the campsites but 100% wildcamping is not a problem. You can do that with no issues. But anyway is enough campsites on the route to keep you out of problems. I wasn't book any campsites, so just stop in them and wasn't any issues to get the tent pitch for night. Only in the Lewis island wasnt many campsites, so you need to adjust daily miles to stay in the closer one or reach one which can be really far away. Simply google it campsites on the Hebridean way and should be no issues.

That show the Dolphins put on was something else. I'm going from Ullapool to Stornoway at the end of the month so fingers crossed. Great video, thanks for sharing your trip.

Yeah, dolphins was highlight of the all trip. Was dreaming to see them and finally on last ferry just on last few miles before getting to Ullapool they show up. Good luck with your trip. 😉

I know what you mean, but on my opinion this place is my favourite. I was riding many places in Wales, some places in Scotland, but getting back there again and again is the same feeling every time, that place just incredible for MTB. Thanks for comment. 😉

Natural sections are from Win hill, other trails offpiste ones, so really easy to find them when you did Win hill descent. Just put some effort and enjoy your time exploring the forest. 😉

Its not a route, it's loads of trails around, so you can start from many places and just explore the area. But main car parks is Oakamoor cricket club car park or Ramblers. You can check it my strava and follow my rides.
