You can make a tap by grinding the sides of the threading at least two times. That will sharpen the threads to resemble a dedicated tap. I made a 4-sided bolt so not slip in my drill, but 3 flattened sizes make great taps as they have sharp corners for digging threads. threads

Thanks for taking the time to record and upload the video. I have a similar problem and would not have ventured in without your video. Some of comments are correct, the red wire in the loop is connected to a thermal fuse (for my Aria AZAO-850, thermal fuse part number AUPO BF 192-1). The problem is the fuse is clamped down by a small plate and a screw and that is the reason it does not want to come out of the hole when trying to pull it. Removing the black plastic shell seems to be too much effort so I drilled a small hole in the shell at the screw location to be able to loosen enough to remove the fuse. I checked the fuse for continuity and have now ordered a fuse thru Ebay and it is listed to be the same Chinese manufacturer AUPO. I have added my comments, if it will help someone in future. For me the air fryer so far has lasted at least 2 plus years.

Just want to add an update here. After the installation, a bunch of warning lights were on the dash then I took it to Ford dealership to get it programmed, they could not resolve it and charged me $185. I went home, ordered an OBD2 scanner tool for $21 (the one that is compatible with Forscan), clicked Load Factory AB for the PSCM and done. Now I really wonder who did the Ford dealership hire to work in the Service department. $185 + 1.5hour of waiting for NOTHING. For those who own a Ford, get yourself the OBD2 tool because that tool alone can save you a lot of headache

I know its an older content. But fyi …what you bypassed in the top of fryer is the inline fuse ( temperature rated to 190). If the wire gets too hot due to impedance of current, the fuse pops, as a safety feature , to not cause an electrical fire.
