Where did these reports come from? I read that they were caught canoodling during their time in Japan after the Olympics. They did the Thank you Canada tour in September or October of 2018. So how were they able to skate with each other after the proposal I wonder?

@@Angie-pe9uq I saw some things on Reddit. Someone said that Tessa‘s mom and sister thought she cold do better and marry up. Lo and behold, she married a hockey player with a multi-million dollar contract with the Toronto Maple Leafs.

I take most of the things I read with a grain of salt anyway. Unless, I hear or read something from the actual people whose lives are being affected, in this case Tessa and Scott. Besides money, do you think, saying that her family really thought she could do better than Scott, might have to do with something more. Like his personality, things that were witnessed by her family from Scott that would make them say that he wasn't a good fit for her? I can't imagine her just deciding with a possible marriage proposal from Scott, that she couldn't be with him because of money. Maybe their were other factors for her, just sad that she wouldn't want to be with Scott because of her family.

@@Angie-pe9uq No one has to interfere in each person's emotional choices, as each person has every right to choose the person with whom they want to share their emotional life, and with whom they want to form a family. And so , Tessa has every right to choose the person she wants to be her future husband. And, as Scott and Tessa had a long period of joint partnership as Ice Dance Athletes, and during which, in addition to the enormous success they had, we could all observe both in their admirable displays in ice dance competitions and performances, as well as due to the many interviews given by Scott and Tessa and other videos, which showed the excellent type of relationship between Scott and Tessa, highlighting the affectionate and respectful, and even protective, way that Scott had towards Tessa, sorry to say, but it seems to be completely wrong and unfair trying to diminish , and call into question Scott's personality characteristics, to justify the fact that Tessa did not choose to marry Scott. They themselves said that, during the 21 years of their joint partnership as competitors in ice dancing, they only did not see each other during the 2 months of recovery from a surgery that Tessa underwent, and that they always loved being together and dancing together. Now, if Scott had a complicated personality, it would be completely impossible for Tessa to have maintained such a long partnership with Scott, and Tesa would surely have looked for another partner for her professional project. Therefore, i find it completely unacceptable that there are people writing that Tessa deserved a better person than Scott, as I've seen written. For everything we have seen publicly in Scott's behavior, he has always shown himself to be a very resilient person, committed and determined to achieve high quality in his professional performance, and also showing that he was always very polite, very delicate, and very respectful in his relationship with Tessa, therefore, we always see Scott as a person with immense qualities, and with excellent personality characteristics. Scott does not deserve, at all, to be diminished in relation to Tessa. For everything we have seen over so many long years of Scott's public behavior, Scott deserves to be well praised and appreciated as a person. As for the fact that Tessa and Scott did not marry each other, that is a matter that only concerns them, and that is no reason to diminish one in relation to the other.
