I own both of these, they are both great but very different at the same time. The moonwatch is far and away a better watch though. If you are watching and want the moonwatch do not buy the racing chrono it will not scratch the itch for the moonwatch, been there done that.

I have the racing 40mm and love it. I love the moon watch as well but like the racing for the smaller case and date complication as I need one for my Line of work

BaoFeng have male antenna ports. They require female antennas. The diamond antenna you have is clearly a male.

I have a number of baofeng radios in my collection started off with a uv3+ problem is they suffer major interference on vhf from uk pager sites. I have cured the problem by fitting a SOTABEAMS 2meter pass band filter just screws onto the SMA antenna fitting the baofeng performd as well as my yeasu hand held. 73 from the uk MW6ZAN

When screwing on an antenna, you need to grasp it as low as possible next to the connector so as not to twist the wire in the antenna and break it loose.

A dollar store 5 pk pen that has the rubber finger grip ..take the rubber finger grip and cut in half and presto a water resist filler for the gap. Works great

I actually bought 2 of the radios from wish for $26 each. Just have to wait a couple of weeks to get here. I'm in no hurry. I'll probably order the Diamond SRJ77CA antennas.

You really have to understand that the wave length of your radio is affected, it takes just a little bit to loose quality performance, I had that situation before. Good luck.

I just got into Ham back in February, so what did I buy but a Boafeng UV-5R V2+, also from Amazon for 32 dollars, and I am surprised at how well it is built. I also got a longer antenna but it fits nicely. I am glad to see though that there are people like you who will tinker with things till they work. Like my uncle used to say "It don't have to look pretty if it works" Oh, I'm James KI7BSL by the way. And your adapter looks great.

WOW! I have to congratulate you on being the first guy I've heard who actually pronounces Baofeng correctly on a pootube video. I love the Baofeng UV radios for their price... We have some UV5Rs and some UV82s which serve us well and we also have some BF888s which we use for UHF-only "Ground-Crew" radios.

Actually the baofeng 18cm out performs most aftermarket antennas. There are 16cm baofeng antennas that look the same, but they suck. The shorter and more common baofeng antennas are pathetic. The antenna in this video is an excellent antenna. But I detest long antennas for carry, they are often not worth the extra performance relative to the annoyance factor. The 18cm baofeng antenna is at the limit of comfortable carry, and it performs rather excellent for its length. I do carry in the car a longer better antenna, but seldom find the need to use it. Also the short common baofeng antennas work as good as the stubbies people buy after market. I been known to use them at hamfests and other places where people generally use the stubbies. No stubby antenna is good, so why buy one if your radio came with one.
