I would be afraid to eat anything in China even restaurants because of the widespread fake food and adding gutter oil makes even more scary

What a delicious journey through Harbin's food market! From Russian-inspired kvass drinks to steaming Northeast Chinese dumplings, this place is a perfect blend of cultures. The -20 degree Celcius winter weather seems worth braving just to try those warm sweet potato rolls and rum ice cream. Love seeing all the local vendors and excited customers lining up for their favorite treats.

Truly impressive and delicious experience in such a cold winter :)
I very much enjoyed your visit to the market, it bought back happy memories of a touring visit to this area a few years ago staying in Lijiang. Also very interesting meeting local people, so very friendly & very colourful. Thank you for sharing. t ..

how are the (amazing) plots divvied out - are they inherited? owned? purchased? (if they are owned/managed by so many ethnic groups) - are all the rice paddies used/irrigated? - so large ! such a wondrous sight ! thankyou
@ChinaStreetMarket_ALIN9 күн бұрын
Mainly inherited. There is a very old and sustainable method of irrigation. Precipitation from the mountain tops is diverted in many canals to irrigate the terraces.
