I just hoping that someday you can make a review and teardown video on ztz 99A so that i know how to service my own ztz 99A, i bought that tank just because its a lot cheaper than other model like leopard, t72, challenger, and abrams ( especially for pro version ) so that if somehow its broken then i just convert it into model and not playing with it again but after playing it for weeks i just having a time of my life and my head just scream "maintain it, upgrade it, take care of it throughly" because that's my own very first rc tank but i'm scared to maintain it since i don't see any video about maintenance this model, the only one i see was either modifying video or just running around with it😢

I just subscribed to your channel since your video is very useful for me especially after i just bought my first rc tank from heng long, my only concern is how hard is it to dissamble the hull and then puttiny it back again especially with the wire management, pls give me some advice on how to manage the wire when assembling the tank pls 😅

@@gravedigger7510 hello there, don’t worry it’s really easy, just be careful when lifting the hull top off the lower hull not to pull the cables is it fulls, rest it on something. If it’s not 360 with a slip ring the normal connectors and wires are quite sturdy. When pulling the plugs out the board, you can use a very small pair of pointy pliers or tweezers, this is a must if it’s got a slip ring, the wires are very thin and they will pull out the plug if you tug on them to pull the plug out ( but the thicker wires you can pull plugs with). It’s mainly cable tied inside, so just get some cheap cable ties to replace the ones you cut off, and take photos of where everything is before you take it apart. The manual is also very good for showing where everything goes. Thanks for the sub! And I hope that helps! This vid sort of really covers it for most of it 🙂 Have a fab week!

2 Question. I have heng long ztz 99 pro version tk 7.0, but my suspension arm is keep coming loose after is using it on concrete floor, and my sprocket wheel is quite loose as well, can i use loctite for my suspension arm screw ? And is heng long ztz 99 comes with bearing seat just like your leopard 2a6 and t72 ?

@@gravedigger7510 hi! Yes I use red Tamiya loctite for the arms on all my tanks, and the sprocket bolt too, don’t use something too industrial, you need to get them off! 🙂. For the bearing seat, I’m guessing it does (I don’t have a ztz) but all of the modern heng long tanks (chally, Leo etc) do. Just went through this with two of my Shermans. Procured two long barreled cannons. Abandoned the project for now, as the tanks are 1.0 and 2.0. It makes more sense to just buy newer tanks.

This is a serious problem with this tank. It's nose heavy and the front bogey needs something better. It would be best if they would produce metal suspension that can handle the stress. I bought two when they were first released and immediately broke one just like you did, only not from jumping ramps. The seller sent me a replacement part. Just broke it, again and no warranty. So, I will just have to buy a third one and part it out. The turret may be used for an LVT-5 project.

@@RmasterD yes, it’s all the weight of the gear box, puts a heck of a lot of pressure on the first units. Hopefully they will bring out metal stuff for it. And it’s crazy fast! 😂

@mrtankalotrctankschannel One can only hope. It would really up the quality of it to have metal running gear, for sure. I keep mine on the low speed setting, which is still pretty fast.

We used ratchet straps to secure to two arms of the tow bar together. I can't seing tow bars in tan. Only in green. The tank I flew into war was an M1A1 Heavy Common. We were a mine plow tank. However, we weren't able to fly with the plow attached. So, it came on a later flight. We left it behind. When I finally get around to procuring an Abrams, I'll use a Trumpeter kit and decals from Callie Graphics.

@@RmasterD that’s very cool, 😎 d never gave the guts to actually serve in a tank!. I tried to make it a mishmash to give it a bit of artistic licence, and I had a reference book with tanks from 2016? So cool. A Sherman is the next tank I want to get. I just received my Panther G. I now have 5 Heng Longs and one Torro. 2-Leopard 2A6's, Challenger 2, Merkava (sadly a non-Pro version) and you have heard me speak of my T-90. I have been fortunate to find modifications for these tanks through AliExpress. I have exterior auto turrets for the Leopards. One is static and the other can be operated in all axis' and has a LED for firing. It works with TK 16 boards and wiring harness. A bit over my head that stuff, but I'll have it when I do learn lol. I struggle to understand any thing about radio controllers. With these types of add-ons, Heng long may not support it. They do a very good job of key multi-function. Torro, not so much. Can any radio controller be keyed to various motherboards?? Love the vids.

Taigen/Torro’s V3 MFU you can hook up your own 6 channel receiver to use your own transmitter, but you lose the ability to activate the machine gun and turn the smoke on and off. Your six channels are acceleration, steering, traverse, elevation, on/off, and steering trim. I think there could’ve been a better way to do on/off where it didn’t need its own channel, or fit machine gun into the elevation function like they did with shooting the main gun, but no. With HL you have to use their remote unless you get their TK16 or TK26 MFU, which I have heard mixed reviews about. I think newer Tamiya you can use your own receiver/transmitter.

Always liked the Sherman so thanks for this. Before i knew about the HAYA chieftan i bought a cheap rc 'toy' tank and dropped the Tamiya Chieftan body onto it. A few compromises had to be made but in general it went well and luckily the Tamiya tracks worked with the rc drive wheels. I did it with two other 1/35 scale kits one being the Centurion but had to use the tracks that came with the 'toy' tank as the model kit ones would not mesh with the drive wheels. Thanks so much i have learned a lot from you. Hope your son has fun with his tank.

The old Soviet Union had tank factory’s in Ukraine (mainly where the t-64 was developed) but when the Soviet Union fell apart Ukraine kept a lot of the old soviet tanks in the factory’s and storage facility’s. So Ukraine use t-72AV tanks too.

Umm they actually have old t-72AV tanks in storage before the war lots of the newer Russian models t-90 t-80bv etc, oplot, Abrams, leopard 1 and 2 challenger 2, donated t-72 from Poland Slovak etc. Google it, it should come up for you. Thanks and have a nice day.

nice work! bought one to replace a broken MG3 on my Hooben 2A4. the DKLMRC version seems too large at least compared to the original and when sized up against figures in 1/16. so I broke out the calculator against wiki stats and yup, it’s too big. also you’ll notice the rear stock is more like an MG42. love DKLMRC, but my search continues…

Never ever use the BB's that come in the box there cheap rubbish and will break the mechanism,buy good quality BB's ok. I have a henglong leopard 2 pro version winter camo from motion rc.
