Parent meeting before you get to deep. Lay out everything plus a 24 hour cooling down period before anyone can approach. It will help for most but will have a few that won’t listen to it hopefully not but it only takes one. Also not sure what age level but encourage that the child or young adult talk with you about the issues.

The zone play worked really well 7th grade level. We just need to work on passing from the high post to the cutter and recognizing when 3/4 defenders come in

Mugsy is only a legend because of his height. He was not anywhere near the caliber of the other legends you mentioned in actual talent or play.

where you trolling because the Official NBA ball or and real leather ball feels nothing like the evolution lol. Evo is a low level ball coach you should know this. Each of the main brands Spalsing, Wilson, Molten each have different tier balls lol.

Love the 5 out motion offense! It does take some time for the 10yr old players to grasp it! But it is the most common offense run in high school as well! So many variations you can run off the 5 out offense

With 9-12 yr old girls, I find one action plays and attacking the rim ASAP works the best. One screen or one cut and we’re driving. The longer a play drags on, the more chance of a turnover.

Is there anyway I can contact you? Im a volunteer coach for a more relaxed league that does only one 30-45 minute practice a week. I coach 3rd and 4th graders and the league im in focuses on teaching the game over competition. I want to know how to effectively coach in such a limited time enviornment with such young players

9 times out of 10, after 4 screens they should turn and look for the ball and they will be open for an even easier shot.

That isn't a half court press. You had the defense on the other side of half court. Looked like 3/4 press . Seemed pretty complicated and hard to do in game.
@bballcoachallen8 күн бұрын
if you want to trap you want to be 2-3 feet on the other side of half to lead players into a trap especially if you want to lead opponents into trapping at half... However 3/4 is if you pick up at the opposing free-throw line/3pt line
@bballcoachallen8 күн бұрын
While not all courts are 94 feet like what my teams play on if your on an 80 foot or less court a few feet past half would look 3/4

Coaches are either lazy or ignorant. You can definitely run a 5 out vs a 2/3 zone.

Getting #3 to learn to cut is tough…why not have the PG..player 1..once he thrown ball to player 4 slide down to corner and 3 slides to where 1 is?
