"Safe" is a subjective word. What you might consider safe, someone else might not, and vice versa. I suggest researching different areas of Miami on crime websites that will give you an overall rating. That's the best I could help ya with that

Great video! It is very expensive to live here(West Palm Beach) I sold my home in July and I’m currently renting a two bedroom two bath condo that cost $2,900/mo. But the freedom of picking up and moving whenever I want is worth its weight in gold.

Any recommendations in West Palm for neighborhoods that might be very walkable and suitable for a younger family. . Looking to possibly move from Stuart, FL. We come down there to shop, coffee, fly out of PBI etc. and feel that long term that it will fit our needs better.

Anywhere just south of the convention center is probably about as walkable as you can get unless you want to be directly in downtown West Palm in a condo.

Broward County, unlike Dade county, is a socialist hellhole. I’ve also lived in Fort Lauderdale. It’s nothing but an incompetent government run by gays. All I can tell you is the Cuban corruption in Dade county works a heck of a lot better than the gay corruption does in Broward County.

Nice ad for South Miami that ignores the disaster of the real estate bust going on. All the older condos have tons of empty units due to the assessment and insurance crisis. Moving here? DO YOUR HOMEWORK!

The me thing that did impress me was the various transportation services that are similar to Lyft and Uber. While I was there I used a service where you can set your price or bid on a ride.

Brickell sucks, no where in Miami is walkable 10 months out of the year, the metro rail goes from downtown to Dadeland it goes down one street thats it no one rides it. Public transportation sucks in Miami don’t be fooled. The average price for over 1mil for anything and if you’re in a building in Brickell the HOA is gonna be 1.5k a month, not including special assessments because all HOAs steal your money.
@haroldfletcher5493
@haroldfletcher5493 24 күн бұрын
That’s because the metrorail ran out of money due to the corruption of Miami (even though I love the place, the right of way for the metrorail goes all the way almost to the bridge to the Keys) and the metrorail that ONLY RUNS between the ghetto and Kendall is nothing but an express line for jump and grab criminals. I lived in Coconut Grove for years and I have never set foot on the metrorail. And, that’s the fact that my office is at 12th St. and Brickell.

Miami local here. I've worked in Brickell for 8 years and I lived in Brickell for about a year as well. It's got its pros and cons. The walkability is great and while traffic can be bad, if you live and work there, it really doesn't impact you much. For me the biggest downsides of Brickell are the lack of authenticity and the people. The neighborhood grew rapidly as developers quickly built a bunch of residential buildings and entertainment areas. It lacks character and any true sense of neighborhood feel. And the people... well... there are lots of working professionals and youg families, but also a whole lot of South American trust fund babies and Onlyfans content creators flooding those buildings. Coconut Grove and Miami Beach are better alternatives to Brickell in my opinion.

I’m a Florida native. I lived in Miami for well over 10 years and my office is still in Brickell. I despise the fucking place, all of it.(just Brickell, further south is fine as in coconut Grove or Coral Gables). No one with a brain would live live in Brickell except for show and Millennial / GenZ stupidity. I’ve been damn near run over while walking to lunch by two smart ass Latin 20-year-olds on rental scooters. And I speak fluent Spanish so don’t tell me it’s because I’m a gringo. I love Latin America and at times prefer to live there than in the US (no one in LATAM would run my ass over on a rental scooter, if for no other reason solely because I’m older than they are), but I despise Brickell. And I especially despise the bastards that built it, Related (a.k.a. George Perez) and Terra. They destroyed the south-central part of Miami. They made a lot of money and a lot of people now live in their developments, but for those of us who are from there it just pisses us off.

@ most of the real estate is a country club or 55+ up. The people tend to be fake. Theres not much to do outside of eating, shopping, or dining. East Boca is beautiful no doubt, but very plastic and superficial. My definition of trash just means unlikeable in my eyes. If some people love it there, that’s good, it’s not my style at all. I had to move there for reasons outside of my control by the way.
