Thank you sir for your effort making this vid. It was clear and helped me out quite a bit. I do a lot of sketchup and hadn't thought to use it to plot out the clearances. Brilliant!

Planning pretty much the same build, and my one question here is if there is a reason why you didn't just put the joists directly underneath the frame? They're a few inches down from the top of the frame. I've seen other people using the jack stud method like you've done here do the same thing. The way I had originally planned it out was to put the joists directly underneath the frame, and preserve as much physical space underneath as possible. Just curious if there's a good reason why not to.

Thank you so much brother, i have a really really tiny studio and this will save so much space for me, thank you for the hints, i'm planning to do that here. The hinges i can't find on my country (the exact model) but i can import from China and are cheap even with taxes.

They are anchored to tabs. I show them in the video. Take a look at the detailed screen build video.

This is the play-by-play I needed. I was thinking of using large, SOSS hinges but these pivot-style hinges are clearly the way to go, much easier. The most important parts for me were using the cardboard visualization and the when you specifically notated where each piece of moulding was attached (to the wall or to the door). I will be working on a large, odd-shaped door using finished wood, so being precise will be very important. It's a cliché at this point, but generous people like you make KZbin the best practical education for learners like me.

Very nice, especially the boom arm. With this level of dust collection I think you just need something to clean the air of the finest particulates and you'd be set.

Yes exactly. Maybe a wen filter can be put on ceiling. Also perhaps next steps would be to upgrade to a canister filter on the collection side.

Hello! The lights appear wonderful. I'm interested in knowing the lumens of the led lights you used. I have a ceiling of similar height, and I'm wondering if exceeding 1200 lumens might make the room overly bright. Additionally, were you able to incorporate a Kelvin temperature switch into the setup?

I too have a high ceiling and want to add a few recessed lights. I thought of the attic approach but I was just a bit nervous of how safe it would be to move through the attic without falling down. Also I was thinking on how to get the recess light install from the back - the rope idea was brilliant I didn't think about it. Thanks for sharing!
