I like to believe they were built like modern day power lifters

They were fat so they could make precise cuts or stabs that from the stands looked fatal but it was a show more than anything.. they were just cutting and stabbing fatty layer if that makes sense

Just a heads up, on mobile you can't see the word "Cocktail" in your thumbnail cos it's covered up by the title of your short, which is superimposed.

Fun fact: in Dutch we call this "zeekaak" which translates to sea-jaw. Some bakeries in villages by the sea still sell it (fresh though, so a bit soft) and people enjoy it with some butter and sugar.

I love pineapple upside down cake! I always make it in a cast iron pan and I agree completely that it adds something lovely to the caramelization of the fruit.

That's Hollywood for yah. Same in 300, the Spartans/Hoplites were lean but athletic. Not bodybuilders.

Carbs make you jacked, wtf are you talking about. Every professional athlete smashes carbs daily. Huge amounts. It’s the main source of energy. The “fleshy”part of them was for protection

Imagine being a well-toned, lean, super fit gymrat being flung back in time to the Colosseum and you get pitted against Thor from God of War: Ragnarok. That's about accurate.😂 Not all gladiators were like that, purely because of the very wide range of people they were taken from, but the vast majority were BIG mofos and hit like trucks!

Pilaf became one of my favourite dishes to do during my university studies, especially because it needs only one pot to cook. Of course I don't bother with making layers on the plate and mix everything once everything is cooked. Also I must start making it more sweet: more kinds of spices, dried fruit, maybe I'll add even fresh fruit.

In the 80s and early 90s alot of bodybuilders would eat baby food as part of their cutting diet....That company missed a trick...
