I love how all these videos you guys make are to the landlords benefit and no one makes any videos to help the tenants with tips, advice and information that they need so that they are taken care of properly and fairly.. thats why people should never use section 8 because this system cares more about the landlords needs than the tenants.

A few other points: HCV Participants are usually excellent, long-term tenants because there are extra rules they must follow; and they don't want to lose their Voucher. Most Voucher holders are the Elderly and/or have disability. In the rare case a Voucher holder would need to be evicted, Section 8 pays the landlord the full rent amount throughout the eviction process.

The problem is everyone needs to really realize this is not 1996 anymore where everyone took advantage of the voucher now technology updated since then landlords won't give the new generation like myself a chance never mind not having no kids no animals no criminal background never evicted now private landlords are using credit scores for excuse to not accept vouchers but the government changing that and pretty soon private landlords will retire because of the discrimination of looking at how you guys said " it's a nightmare" but like I said THIS IS NOT 1996 ANYMORE GENERATION CHANGE !

Somehow you guys popped up in my suggestions, watched it for some reason. Seem like reasonable and decent men, so not trying to be a jerk. Just had to say you are way off about our safety nets. Research the numbers yourselves. We are not even in the top five in the vast majority of living standards, and most we rank in teens, some even lower than that. Quality of life, living standards, we are not high. I implore you to research it. Not only are we lower on the lists, but many blow us out of the water, out performing in double digits in some cases, housing is one of them. Certainly not saying we are third world standards, though there even third world countries that sometimes beat us in certain metrics. France, Finland, Japan, Spain, UK, Germany etc easily beat us on average. Part of loving your country, is taking care of it, just like a child, it does bad, you love him or her still but need to fix whatever the trouble may be, and admitting it is the first step. Enough of my rant, carry on :)

It has little to do with the time they are there and everything to do with the amount of work required to obtain the lease. If your tenant works 40 hours a week in order to afford the rent, they will be less likely to damage things compared to someone who was given the lease for nothing.

So don't rent to unemployed people, got it
