@@ospreyoutdoors2225why could you not use this bottom with a hand climber top that would be bad ass
@bluecreekroadАй бұрын
@@EricBynog-zd4rd You probably could. When I first started saddle hunting years ago, I used my LW Hand Climber seat/top section as my platform with some hillbilly engineered foot straps and climbed basically the same way they show in this video. While there are pros to climbing with a system like this, as with any climbing stand you're just limited to the size and shape of trees you can get up in more than a sticks & platform or "one stick" methods. Whichever you prefer is up to the individual hunter to decide on though.

Gotta ask. Why not just use the bottom half of a summit climber (if you have one already and getting into saddle hunting)? Essentially it’s the same thing.
@ospreyoutdoors22252 ай бұрын
If you try, you will see it is not the same thing. The central post and adjustable bolt make a huge difference for stability. Climbing is one thing, being in good and stable position is another.

The only problem I see with this is if your boots slip off the platform and the platform slides down the tree how are you getting it back up to you? I think it should be attached or somehow you’re able to retrieve it back up the tree.
