@Craig Like that'd make any difference now, they're far too heavily invested in the Eurofighter Typhoon programme these days.

@@jamjardj1974 : The Eurofighter is a very fine bit of kit! And don't forget, the RAF and Navy now have the new F-35B onboard..... I guess the RAF didn't feel the need years ago for the F-15 when they still had Harriers, Jaguars, and Tornados; though I do agree, and F-15E with roundels would look neat! 😉

I saw this aircraft - or one very much like it, in September 2020,I was having my lunch in the Dambusters Inn in Scampton village,and we were treated to a few low passes from a Hunter.

Wow! Great video. One of my favourite planes and also the first air fix model I built way back. Amazingly that very day, the 13th of October, I took my first ever ppl flight in a Cessna! Less engines, but a hell of a buzz! Keep them coming!

Agreed, unless it’s the T7 or T8. A two seat fighter jet is like a four door hot hatch, not quite so aesthetically pleasing.

Ahh! Nice to see! I was checking the flight radar the other day (as you do!) and saw a jet symbol off the Dorset coast.. Surprisingly it was a hunter! I thought it was a mistake as the radar track indeed pointed to Scampton! This now explains things thank you!

So good to see a Hunter in the air. The last one I saw, and photographed, was the ill-fated display at Shoreham in 2015. It would be so good to see one, or more, back on the display circuit. One of my favourite jets of all time.

@@mkmdexplorationparanormal5610 : Aw, come on... the Typhoon is a fantastic aircraft, and classed as a 4.5 gen, while F-15E is still classed as 4th gen - for what that classification is worth! Both are fine bits of kit... 👍 I work on RAF Lakenheath and see the 15's daily - along with the awesome F-35As, and love watching them when I can, and seeing them pull-off some of the moves they do.....but you see the Typhoons being just as nimble, and faster into a quick-climb than either the 15 or 35, and in the hands of a Pro Display pilot - like the guy in Blackjack seen in the video (probably James Sainty - Anarchy 1), then the Typhoon is just a plaything for him, and can probably outmanoeuvre virtually anything else in the sky!! 😆

Wasn't it an utterly amazing day? That 7-ship formation was awesome. Watching them take off, one by one ... 4 Spitfires, 1 Hurricane, the Dakota and our beloved 'Leader' (the Lancaster) was the best!!!! This year's LLA/BBMF members day was such a fitting tribute to the work that goes into maintaining those gorgeous aircraft.

@@g1dtf to be fair, it WAS warm, and when the clouds cleared after 4pm and the sun emerged, it got quite hot! We didn't take sunscreen with us so we'd have burned ... 😁 And it was a definite, definite improvement on 2019, where the wind never lapsed for enough time for the aircraft to take off (Disco said they needed at least a 1 hour window because of all the prep etc) and then we had torrential rain .... but so pleased for Disco, because of 2019 and no 2020. He would have been the OC without a Members Day flying display under his belt! And what a great last flight he had in his Spitfire. He's been a fantastic OC.

There are no single seat Strike Eagles. The 2nd Jet was an F-15C.
