I am now having the same issue on my 2012 Tacoma and what I have been able to find is that this may be due to a clogged up cowl drain. If you notice on the cowl cover, there is a channel that the windshield fits into that is designed to cause any water that gets under the cover where it meets the windshield to flow to the sides and then into the cowl itself where it should drain out on either left or right through the front wheel wells. What happens is that over time, that drain gets clogged up with leaves, dirt, etc and has to be cleaned out. You have to remove the cover behind your front wheel and right before the front door and clean all that crap out and make sure the drain can run free, otherwise water will build up in the cowl until it becomes even with the fresh air intake and then flows in through it. Another issue that can happen is if the debris clogs up, the wet debris can cause rust to form along the inside panel which can cause pinhole leaks into your cabin. I am going to attempt to clean mine out this week and see if that fixes the problem. I also found a broken little clip piece inside the channel on the cowl cover on the passenger side so that also causes my cowl cover to not fit tightly against the windshield which is also a bad thing. Trying to figure out a way to make it tight against the windshield again without having to buy a new one as the cheapest one I could find near me NEW was around $199. I have also seen some guys who fashioned there own fresh air intake covers with a piece of flexible aluminum and then bolted it over the intake with a bend in it so that water will flow over it and to the sides but not into it and the bend leaves the sides open slightly so that fresh air can still come into the vent. Idk what the hell the Toyota engineers were thinking with this design.

My 2007 has wet passenger side floor as well. Mine is traced back to a leak in the top of the windshield seal.

I have this issue BUT only on the driver side. Is it the same for the driver side?
@JoseEspinoza-mw9wr2 жыл бұрын
As far as I know, it's seams on both sides.

Update! I had the same issue on the driver side and I was able to peel back the floor board and see a slight leak. I caulked at the corner of the windshield from the outside (under the plastic flashing near windshield wiper) along with caulking inside of the cabin factory seal. I now have no more damp carpets and no more leakage. Thanks for this video man, helped immensely!

Just went to look at a 2005. Same water issue. I noticed it was wet high up the floor but more like what you showed. I’m prob going to buy it since it seems like an easy fix

E como se resolve essa entrada de água ?
@JoseEspinoza-mw9wr3 жыл бұрын
I USED 100% SILICONE TO SEAL THE SEAM. WATERPROOF SEALANT.

@@JoseEspinoza-mw9wr então a entrada de água era naquele cabo com azul da antena?

@@evertonbasso no, es donde se unen las costuras de la fábrica. ¿Ves dónde está la marca negra? ahí es donde estaba goteando.
