I had a '90 Taurus SHO. I loved it, even though it was a total lemon. The engine made up for everything. 220 HP at 7200 RPM from a 3.0 liter V6 in 1990 without a turbo was unheard of. Yamaha can make some amazing engines.

I just got the exact same year and model (s) without chrono. Can you please advise if PDK service ($1500) is needed? Mine has 41K miles, and 30K dealer service was done by the previous owner. I would appreciate it if you could recommend other services that are 'must'. Yes, first 911, my dream ride😅. Thank you in advance. Subscribed and liked!!!
@JioniDrive2 күн бұрын
@herodtrt5576, I believe Porsche recommends PDK service at 60k miles or 12 years. If you have a metal pan on the transmission, PDK service could have been done. I believe factory transmission pans are plastic. But I will let 911 people give you advice on this. I personally do not own a 911 yet. Rennthusiast KZbin channel and Porsche Club of America channel should provide you with all the knowledge you need. Enjoy the car and thanks for watching.

Bought a 2013 mks with the 3.5 ecoboost and 73k. Ran synthetic oil changed at 5k intervals. Motor and both turbos blew at 80k. Jumped time. Had a warranty from the used lot i bought it from. So the motor and turbo were replaced. Turbos were new and motor had 38k. When the car was a bit over 100k the water pump went out. Had it repaired and the timing chain done. I now have 142k on the car and powertrain has had no more issues. I have replaced front wheel bearings twice, a tie rod end, and two stabilizers on the rear. Not cheap!

Nice house! But do you have mortgage payments again? I thought you wanted to be debt free!
@JioniDrive14 күн бұрын
@jeidm9936, unfortunately, there was no way of affording this house without a mortgage. We were debt free; we paid off our previous house in 2021. After selling that house, we were able to put a huge down payment on this house. But a little debt motivates me to work harder. I was getting a little stagnant financially. And after paying off one house, I think I can do the same for this mortgage.

@JP-rc2bzАй бұрын
How and why? I just got one the other day and it performs similarly to a gas mower. Why would the price to mow change drastically?
@JioniDriveАй бұрын
@JP-rc2bz I think for a regular yard, electric lawnmower is great. Probably even cheaper than using gasoline. My previous house was on a .29 of an acre and I used this electric lawnmower for 6 years without an issue. One charge took care of front and back yard. My current current house is on 1 acre and that’s when electric mower start to struggle a bit. A riding electric mower will be sufficient. I think for landscaping businesses, their cost might increase. But I’m sure most of them will keep gasoline mowers because they can cut more yards in a day compared to electric mowers.
@Kapil-PatelАй бұрын

Are brakes/rotors something that can be cheaper if you get the VW-equivalent part (as is the case with Audis) or are they Porsche-specific?
@joshheinz5328Ай бұрын
To my knowledge, there aren't many parts that interchange between Porsche and the rest of the VW group, at least from their sports cars. I looked around, and found a couple of aftermarket rotors that were cheaper, but also weren't the exact same size. 997.2S front rotors are 330mm x 34mm, and the ones i saw were only 28mm. Would it matter? Probably not, but YMMV.

Hey man….when you drive you have to pay attention. That was not because this is a 4C that is “ a nervous car” wasbecause you was looking t9 something else ( phone?! Camera ?!)……Very close call ….you were not only destroying your car but trying to recover you was directly hitting in the front of another car. This is nothing to enjoy and to be proud. You risk your life and of the other driver

This video is exactly what I was looking for! I’ve been debating if I want to buy a 4c or a 997. Keep up the good work!
@JioniDriveАй бұрын
@GamingBTL, It is funny I was going to make a video comparing the two. Since they are at similar price point, I thought some people might be cross-shopping them. I went with the 4C instead of a 911 because it felt more special, and a little bit exotic. After driving both of them few times, I would still pick the 4C due to the fun factor. You do not have to modify it to have crazy turbo noises and exhaust sounds. It is a fun car. Tramlining on the 4C might be a deal breaker for some. But I wanted a car to keep me busy when I drive it. Getting Micheline PS4 tires does help with tram lining. The 911 is the better car. It is well engineered and it can do it all. There are plenty of dealerships and machining that can help you with the 911. Alfa Romeo mechanics and dealerships are something to consider. Although 911 is better overall car, as far as the fun factor and the looks are concerned, the 4C wins. I think I would have to get a Cayman GT4 or a GT3 to get the same amount of entertainment.

In nz it’s known as a Calais V. Looks the same as yours but has a dif dash (large digital display in centre), and powered by a 330hp direct injected V6 (your Camaro/caddy engine I think) and a 9sp auto not 8. Come fully loaded, panoramic roof, radar cruise, heated and cooled front seats and heated rear, Bose stereo etc . Brilliant under rated cars and not sure what I’m going to replace mine with now they’re not made. Basically they go better than the average wagon, gearing in 9th is tall enough for good economy, 4wd handling good, and the sound deadening added to our markets made them extremely quiet.
