In your opinion which is harder? this one up a half step or the other?

@@ace_the_defender4948 I’d say about equal, but this one goes up higher and the middle section is a little trickier (specifically the D - B - A# motive repeating).

Your tone in that high range is so lovely! Beautiful piece.

What a wonderful and skillfully composed piece! I love your creative use of rhythm throughout the atonality. I fully expected this entire song to be atonal in 24TET, so the section that was tonal was almost discomforting especially once it was rudely interrupted by the dissonant "jump-scare" chord when you're thrown back into the atonality. Thank you for creating this piece and sharing your musical insight, an inspiration to other composers like myself. I greatly appreciate 24TET's ability to create so many new harmonic possibilities and produce so many new colorful and thought-invoking chords/textures, as I'd imagine you also do.

Thank you so much for your thoughtful reply. I’m happy that you found it so engaging. I have devoted much of my creative output to exploring 24TET and feel I have barely scratched the surface. It is slowly becoming the future of music and I am glad there are others that see its potential. If you like this or my other music, I’m presenting at the Aspen Composer’s Conference in August on one of my saxophone quartets (kzbin.info/www/bejne/nZDUpJ9oebZ0jcUsi=2rqxl8AWr8Vh3o53) about its harmonic systems with quarter tones. I plan to record my presentation and share it on my channel. It may be of interest to you.

Nice recording! Musically the breathing interrupts too much, but seems like a big chore to get circular breathing going on this piece with a baritone :D
