Could please you also do a video for teachers of a Non-English native speaker (with English at least their 3rd learned language) who teach EFL. Thank you.

Is this the full time or part time TESOL class?

I really like the addressing of emerging language and focusing on grammar in a communicative way. Analysing a lesson in this way helps teachers understand each stage better. I have one suggestion. While clarifying form and meaning I would also contrast the use of this tense with the present perfect to help learners understand it better. So I would focus on the difference between "I have been studying" and "I have studied" as sometimes the difference between the two can be very thin.

It was an amazing discussion over this sensitive item of 'new method classes' with games. I could learn about stuff like time dedicated to games and types of games,their pros and con,.difference between games and plays. Thank you for that all

Best not to start taking feedback from the weakest student. Also, instead of getting sts repeating their own answer, get them to report on their partner.

I really appreciate this! I took the CELTA in January, but I've forgotten a lot of it since I haven't been able to get back to work yet, so this video is a great refresher.

It was a great lesson, but I was not too fond of the matching task at the beginning, which was intended to teach the new words they would encounter in the reading.

Why does she write on the board? I better show the words after eliciting from Ss. In this way, I'd reduce the time for study part and focus more on the production part.

In the previous school where I taught, the whole building has(until now) Wi-Fi so that in every classroom, students and teachers can use the internet if they can't explain or want to show something which saved time and everybody was sure they understood what someone was referring to.

I wanna ask if there is no need for the students to read the texte one by one .!
@antonioshala88662 ай бұрын
I have a question. My teacher trainers always taught us that limiting students reading time is bad and that it's more beneficial for students to read at their own pace, because not everybody reads and takes in information in the same way. Can you comment on that?
@a.i.51292 ай бұрын
I think it depends on the skill you want to develop. Students can sometimes get used to translating what they read to their native language to process the information, which is not ideal, specially when practicing scanning, a crucial skill to develop for many exams such as Trinity's ISE. In those situations, it can be better for the teacher to give them a time limit to answer specific questions about the texts so they practice the ability to recognize small pieces of relevant information, and then allow them more time for skimming and extensive reading afterwards.
