You need to try soy sauce from asian market, it really makes a difference on those recipes and add to the rice sesame oil, reaaaaly good

I made this bread pudding today, followed the recipe to the letter… my only modification was to bake my glass pan in a 1 inch deep water bath of boiling hot water. Turned out very nice. While I thought the bread pudding was a bit bland, the cream sauce was superb and made the dish very flavorful! I will try it again in the near future and plan on increasing the amount of light brown sugar, another apple, more cinnamon, and probably more bourbon and vanilla in the pudding? The cream sauce is perfect as-is. I used 10 year old Russell’s bourbon and it was a perfect match with the sauce, a bit extravagant but I’m glad I made the choice.

Wax paper should NOT be put in the oven. Do not use wax paper in your oven. The wax melts when its heated and goes into your food!..wax is a derivative of petroleum. Wax is what candles are made of and what do candles do??? They are the fuel to burn the wick...wax in my food?? No thanks..parchment only!

No no never put wax paper in the oven! It might be fine at low temps or if it's not in there for long, but there's a huuuuge risk of it melting and catching on fire. Happened to me. Also happened to me with parchment paper that wasn't made to go in the oven above 400 degrees- so always check the box to see what it says!

You should use a fine mesh strainer to get a more even coating of powdered sugar. Otherwise, looks yummy!
