Is there any other bootlegs of the West End version besides this and one called Chocolate Top Hat Guy kills the children, you know of (I’ve seen comments conversations of users claiming to have bootegs on Google Drive) Although it could be possible that Google has taken them down due to copyright which I’m pretty sure is something they can do I’ve also seen that this version of Auf Wiechsiden Augustus Gloop (the one used in this footage) get fixed which either proves there’s a clearer version of this footage or the user as incredible editing skills Edit: One reply to a comment on the fixed footage advised a user to search Poor boy & the chocolate factory but when I did nothing relevant to the musical showed up Update: Guess it was clearer audio as another video resurfaced using footage from this bootleg but audio from another live performance

The UK Tour one is nothing compared to the original (This one).

The fact that this version was never recorded professionally is a crime.

The kids' fates in all versions: Augustus Gloop: it's not shown onscreen in any version (sans the UK Tour version) but it's strongly implied that Augustus meet his ultimate fate after being sucked by the pipe and somehow got covered in a thick coat of pre-baked candied pork. The chocolate in the pipe most likely frozen around him too, like instant cryogenics. The Oompas then removed him from the pipe on a great glass recipient and returned the temporarly deceased Augustus to Mrs Gloop, saying that he'll be unfrozen and revived after an century with the global warming. They eventually put Augustus' own everlasting gobstopper inside his new glass recipient, (temporary) postumously. UK Tour version is the only one to shown this onscreen.) then she came back home with Augustus' cryogenic. Violet Beauregarde: well, after she chewed the forbidden gum, she meet her fate after swelling and exploding. After that, Wonka called her father to get her exploding pieces. Mr Beauregarde then came back to California and tried to sell her pieces on her own boutiques on a last attempt to make money with his now deceased daughter. Then he lost most of his money from her (except on some Broadway versions, where she survived after exploding and was returned to quite back to normal and her family got ridiculized for the rest of her life). Veruca Salt: depends of the version. On the WestEnd and UK Tour versions, after demanding for the squirrels and going to grab her, the squirrels attack her and forced to go to the bad nut chute. Her father tries to rescue her, but is also forced by the squirrels through the bad nut chute. Then they spin through the chute and them both fell to their deaths on the trash incinerator, being both burned alive as a fire light came out of the chute onscreen (on the UK Tour version, they both fall on a thrash can instead, and the Oompa Loompas roll them to the incinerator). In the Broadway version however, after demanding the squirrels, Veruca tries to get the squirrels and is torn apart by them (her head is thrown by them on a small thrash can onscreen). Her father is forced by Wonka operators to leave the factory. It's unknown what happened to him after that. Mike Teavee: after sending himself inside the TV set, Mike is shrunken down permanently, and his now crazed mother put him on her Pocket and leave him back to home, where now he's threaten on a life of hell for being such a psychopath the worse of the kids. Oh, he also doesn't have more any contact with TVs or any kind of technology, and is living basically in home arrest and is threated by his family as a little doll. It happens about the same in every single version. But at least he still have his everlasting gobstopper (oh yeah he doesn't like candy...)

I noticed when Charlie was talking about his idea for the light bulb during the inventing room scene, you can see Violet and Mike laughing with each other

Never thought I'd ever see a video of Douglas Hodge's amazing performance as a whole recording. Thank ye for sharin' it! P.S. The iconic head tilt and fast turn from Wonka ( 1:49:18 ) truly gave a moment of intimidating presence before being goofy again. Absolutely love it. Hodge's would've made a fantastic Jekyll & Hyde.
