So I'll tell you absolutely why you make sure to watch the Lenna triggers. This happened on the table next to one of our guys at Euros: Warriors player. 0 Cards in deck. Final Turn. Has huge board state and he's about to win 4WoL player: No way to win, taking damage. Hits a Krile EX. has a Bartz in BZ. Triggers it to make Lenna draw, which she can't so instantly wins. Warriors player wasn't a native english speaker and was arguing that it's optional. lol.
@SliceNDiceFFTCGАй бұрын
Yeah absolutely. That point that Jono initially made went straight over my head, then something like this occurred in my head. Seems like "rules processing" in the moment, but in a longer game state and "final moments" like you describe it 100% matters, so it's about overall game integrity. Sounds like an intense game your team mate had! - Phil

Guessing the card is fun! Dan played a similar game with me and Nick when we travelled down. But rather than yes or no questions, you guess a card, and they tell you if it shares a similarity, 'it is also a forward' 'it's cost is odd' 'shares an element' etc. But i enjoyed playing along!
@SliceNDiceFFTCGАй бұрын
Yea it was very entertaining for us and made for some good laughs! It currently would make the game a bit easier with sharing similarities 🙂 We discussed doing it every podcast but with one of us instead of 3 for time. Definitely something we'll consider in the future! Thanks for the comment 😊 - Jono

At end game also you could break the miner in response to being targeted to prevent the other 9k power reduction 👍 And for sake of learning, if someone cuches emet technically you could’ve changed the search target if you were rewinding (don’t think you probably would’ve but just for people watching/learning, searches don’t reveal the searched out target until resolution 👍)

Phil here. This is why I find earth such a good challenge to learn. So many micro-decisions that are left on-board, and it's not just dealing with your ETBs and planning "forward". I always forget about the cards in front of me the longer a game goes on. But the fact I was on my 4th ever game on this deck... not hideous I guess? Thanks for the wise words!

Hello, At 5:06 you could have discard Basch instead of Apururu for Epitav. Search for Leo, Leatherworker for free, pay with Vossler to play Apururu, take back WoL. 5 backups, WoL/Leo in hand, ready for a big turn after (Rikku or Leo/WoL and if he doesn't cancel it, Ingus/Emet/Unei/Tidus... Depending of your draw).

Question for you guys next time, given all the talk about the new LB mechanic - if you would introduce a new mechanic to FFTCG what would it be? Personally I quite like the idea of form change cards that are two sided and get flipped to a more powerful version when certain criteria are met. Something that I think already exists in MTG but has a lot of thematic relevance to FF titles.
@ErebosPlayer10 ай бұрын
Possible talking point for next time. What archetype or category etc needs just that one more legend or more in a certain colour and synergy etc would catapult old cards into tier 1 again
@SJacko_12 Жыл бұрын
Great to hear your insight! Sam was the first person I thought of when I saw Gau - he is the monsters king! For context on the shadow he will enter at the end of your turn if he loses his warp counter then so easier to manufacture those scenarios where you’re empty handed at end of turn. Similar to if wind Vayne enters and removes the last warp counter during main phase then that card will enter then.

Mono Lightning was one of the best decks in the Opus 20 format. Xande is pretty bad for it though. Will try it but thoroughly unimpressed. Irvine is a 9/10. Plays better than he reads

Thanks a lot for making these videos and putting them up! Would be amazing if, when possible, you could put links to the decklists (even if it's just an example one for the archetype rather than the exact one), as a beginner it helps to be able to read the cards when watching a game : D
