The back was pieced because the quilter didn’t have enough of one fabric for the entire back. I often do this. It saves money as you can use up what you have rather than buying new

The "triangles" represent the tree of life. I wouldn't cut it up. Someone put a lot of hard work into that quilt.

I quit rescuing quilts bc i had to many...i donated some to a singles moms group being helped thru my church, and sold a few to a friend who resells them... just decided to give that collection up.

@@eithelsimpson9695 That is understandable Eithel. They definitely take up a lot of space and so it’s important to find a home for them quickly. I sure do love them.

@@Katrowlyn I doubt you can find any Debbie Mumm fabric unless Etsy or etc. I began sewing in the 80’s and it was popular then. But haven’t seen any new for years. If you find some I’d love to hear from you. It’s wonderful you are beginning to quilt. Keep it up and don’t get discouraged.

I am a quilter and noticed that you are in LA and that is a surprise! I've lived in Orange Co since 1977 and before in Long Beach. The most fun I have had through the years was shopping in thrift stores (since the early 80's) for everything. You have found some really nice quilts, and the brown friends quilt would look great on your wall! I hope you will use it.

That’s fun to know you are from around here! We are so lucky is that we have so many thrift stores to be able to go to. Maybe I will hang the friends quilt, thanks for the suggestion.
