Hi, l have the same model and don't recall receiving the books or magnifying glass!. The rear brakes have already been mentioned but the wheels are also incorrect. The wheels are actually race wheels. The standard wheels were narrower and painted silver or chromed option. However it is still a very nice facsimile.

I cant understand why Autoart went to all the trouble to make this detailed modern and yet give a fundamental detail totally wrong. On this model you can see the rear disk brakes through the wires, this is wrong as the e types disks are inboard!! and yon can not see them. I am not sure how they missed this.

what shits me about this model and is the reason why I sold mine which I do regret now is the huge dogleg bonnet hinges are awful and ugly but they made the boot hinges nice and small.. Oh well.. I did make money on it when I sold it but I would like to replace it again but they way too expensive now.

Excellent review, you really paid a ton of money for this car though (£113) when the baseline without opening trunk and hood, no window panels, black interior, black brake discs and white tail lights can be had for £30.

A friggin STEAL to get this red elite version of the 458 coupe for 52 pounds. Thats the asking price for the regular hot wheels 458 (see review made by JMC Porsche) these days, if you can even find one. As far as the elite goes, you can only find Challenge (race version), Spyder (convertible) or the Speciale these days, with the latter going into the 150 and above range, and the former two hovering around 70

One thing i don't like about convertible diecasts is that they don't have side windows. What a bummer

I've found this exact model by autoart but it's in 1:32 scale would it be worth it? Also it's obviously a bit cheaper than this

I believe Autoart lost their license right to continue making the James Bond version quite a while ago. I have one w/weapons version. Paid $65 US back in 2002. Sitting in a dust proof display case with 8 with other rare Autoart diecasts.

Incredible detail. Surprising on a premium diecast to have several loose or falling off parts. I have 9 Autoart diecasts. A James Bond Aston Martin DB5 w/weapons, Blue 57` & Red 59` experimental Corvettes, Mako Shark, Bullitt Mustang, White Porsche GT3, Black Lamborghini Murcielago special edition, Silver Panoz Roadster, Red Ferarri Manarello I got great deals on every car. The most expensive was JB DB5 which was $65 US in 2002. The owner of the diecast shop obviously didn't know what he had. The rest were under $60 on eBay. Some as low as $30. These Jags and the Porsche 928 are up there in price. Still want that Jaguar XJ-13. Almost had one for $120, but was snipped at the last second. Dam!!!

I've happen to have bought a 1:18th scale Ferrari 348tb in Black directly from eBay UK online, but it's part of the Hot Wheels Foundation Series, and l'm a bit concerned on whether the bonnet at the front and the engine compartment at the back can be opened, as well as with the front driver and passenger doors.
