As a black girl attending a pwi who’s parents didn’t attend college I needed this 😭❤️
@tiredoftheworld48343 ай бұрын
My PWI is super diverse so the dynamics will be VERY different. I’m only worried about the people coming from less diverse counties bc I can smell the racism off of them 😂 I’ve grown up in predominantly yt and second, Asian, spaces. Here are a few tips from my experiences: 1. Better know your worth. Don’t take ANY BS let people know you aren’t coming to play around with them and take whatever crazy mess they wanna tell you. 2. Beware the Beckie’s. They’ll try to be nice but keep them at an arms length. Only the very genuine ones. Other than that the majority cannot be trusted I’ve heard many stories and have had my own, bully experience… 3. Be interested in those who are interested in you. Don’t be so closed off. Literally the majority of my friends (pre college) were Asian (East and south) in one period of my life. It showed me a lot of differences and I learned a lot. But I also felt like I could relate to them in some way. AND don’t limit your dating options. Don’t be “loyal” to anyone. Only yourself. Thank God I live in a good state and good region

Agree with everything except ‘dirt hair grows the fastest’. This is a debunked myth with no scientific evidence and important to shampoo your scalp and get rid of dead skin cells. Healthy scalp = healthy hair
@vashtihaslocs79185 ай бұрын
myth to YOU. haha everyone’s hair is different! My hair personally thrives the best when it’s been days/ weeks/ months after a wash day. i don’t know your race either but typically when it comes to people of color, this is extremely true. hense why overall we don’t need to wash our hair every two days like people of other backgrounds. regardless thanks for your comment!

yup most loctitions care about the style or look theyre doing not the health of your hair

@blu_rey865615 күн бұрын
Not for everyone. Wetting and spritzing on a daily doesn’t work for me. Washing frequently and keeping the scalp clean is really the key. Oil just weighs the hair down and collects lint etc. I put a little grease on my scalp and keep it moving. My locs are nice and healthy.✌🏽
