Does anyone find it weird that there is this trend of teenagers giving life advice like they are an authority? I find it dystopian. Go have fun and be patient with your realizations. Study some philosophy and theology. Because of Internet culture, everyone wants to stand on a pedestal and claim to have the answers, including people who haven't really lived that many experiences. Which is ok. "Be cautious of unearned wisdom" - Jung,. I mean, I just saw a 12 year old make a video called Why starting a KZbin channel will improve your life - like, what is up with this?

People have different capabilities. At work I only need to do 70 % to be equal to younger colleagues that are doing 120 %. With time, practice and experience you get better at stuff. No one’s gonna give you a gold star regardless.

the trick is to find something that you really care about, something that you wish you could work on even when you're beyond your limit. if you put that thing at the center of your life, you'll excel at it. Then, when you let yourself down on other projects it's not so bad because you'll know you're still a genius at that thing. Imo it's all about making your priorities line up with what you care about. I think a lot of time people prioritize things that they don't actually care enough about to give 100%
