I sure hope your PVC lasts longer than mine did. I did something like this for a chicken house and put black meah cloth stuff over it. We're in the deep south and we had a freeze and every one of my connections froze and broke and it caved in. :( No chickens were harmed because they were in their pen on the inside of it thank goodness. They say the gray PVC holds up longer than the white. ????? It gets very hot here so that could have been my problem, not sure. The PVC got really brittle after a few years. :( GOOD LUCK and very good job!!!!

OKAY, no good!!! I did this with pipe and and the problem is there is too much space between the pvc of the roof such that when it rained it made pools then the pool of water became so heavy it caved in all the plastic during a heavy storm and following frost severely damaged my lemon trees inside. when first done it looked beautiful and kept a lot of heat in but again the spacing caused a collapse from the weight of the water.

You should warn people there is NO usps delivery(regular mail) to homes in Key Colony,so they can make the correct decission.

Don't know how true it is and/or to what extent, but I've been told plumbing PVC isn't UV resistant but furniture grade and electrical PVC conduit are.

The PvC Pipe, isn't it much more spendy than a regular greenhouse? My brother built two green houses in the 1990's, years ago. Looks great ,! Is there a place to get the PVC Pipe at a more discount price. My brother is a good carpenter too. Looks like a huge project. Then he moved south. He was in chilly MN. When you said Marshall. Very nice greenhouse! How ever there is far more man hours than you are letting on. You at least had 2 maybe 3 people that helped you. And far more people stretching the plastic. So if 3 helped you for the 14 hours that’s 42 hours plus the helpers you had stretching the plastic I counted at least 2 Extra people besides the 3 of you. So about 4 more man hours maybe. I am counting at least 46 man hours. Im not saying this to prove anything, I just dont want people thinking they can make and install this size of unit in 14 hours. Also you said it only took 14 man hours and you need to be accurate for people. You did construct a great looking and very useful greenhouse, great job!!

Would it be a good idea, or a bad idea, to double up on the plastic layers? Like just have two of the sheets, back to back. Would that double the insulation? My hope would be that I could keep peppers alive for a whole Canadian winter.

nice share! how has it held up over the years? so do you need the 2x4 supports on the outside (against the doors) to keep the structure from collapsing? so will a wind hitting the wood ends be able to push the structure over and flaten it without the outside supports? I even wonder if outside guy wires on each end, pulling in the opposite direction would stabilize it? it looks like the plywood is attached with plastic ties to the pvs frame?
