This is super helpful! I am making a blessing dress slip and day dress for my daughter and haven’t done this technique before. Your instructions were very clear and your visuals helped a ton. Thank you for sharing!

Connie, what pattern did you use for your blouse?

I took this class years ago with Connie in person. We made a lovely pillowcase. So nice to have this refresher and update to this beautiful technique. I love the fabric applique version. Thank you, Connie for all of your instructional videos.

Love this but I’m not good at drawing curves. In fact I’m just not very good at drawing lol. Is there something I could buy for this like a template or something online I could print out? Thank you!

I love the videos where Connie goes thru things that I've done, but when I think about them, I'm in that "how does that work again?" mode.

ALL of Connie's videos are great. Seriously, take time to watch each of them....sometimes more than once when working on a project. They are always full of little hints that, even though I may have done the technique many times, the reminders never hurt.

I appreciate how thorough this video was. I'm a young mom of a toddler and newborn so I don't have time for lengthy videos and usually skip through. I didn't with this video and I'm glad because I learned a LOT!

Absolutely love this! How do you measure to make a pattern/template of the scallops to do this on any dress skirt?

Thank you so much for sharing this technique! I have been sewing since I was 10 years old, but I have never done any type of heirloom sewing.

Very informative video. Did not know about the water soluble thread. But question, how do I match the scallops to the skirt to be sure scallops at side seams are the same size of the others scallops? Hope that makes sense.
