When you changed the shocks out shouldn't that eliminate the need for the cushion? I have a power goat but the same cushion and I'm thinking about changing the shocks too
@brucethomas39298 сағат бұрын
The lighter shock definitely gives the motor goat a smoother ride. I customized my cushion by gutting the old styrofoam rubber filling and replacing it with a little styrofoam rubber for support and the rest foam rubber and liquid gel. So the cushion is now really soft that makes the seat even more comfortable for long distant rides. All in all it boils down to personal preference.

Check your brake bolts. There are two that hold the brakes to the bracket and two that hold the bracket to the frame/fork. I didn't check when I had a small vibration/noise and that's how I ended up losing my rear brake line.

Interesting Kamoot would take you to that gravel road/path. I've been down there in the Jeep when I was helping one of our Scouts on his Eagle project. That's part of the Patapsco park, there is a dirt road to get to various sections of the the river - but there is no way for you to cross the river to get back to BWI unless you swim or the bike turns into an Amtrack train. ETA checking the map it looks like one of the gravel roads will lead to a garbage truck company closer to your home - pop off the park road into the company's driveway - but it looks like there is a locked gate there as well. Interesting routine, if you can get by the gates it's a prettier ride - but I'm going to have to give Kamoot at least a -1 for suggesting this route.
@brucethomas392928 күн бұрын
Yes, it's a crap shoot with Komoot. Surprisingly that path goes under 895 & 695 the runs parallel to 895. My irritation has turned to intrigue and now I'm curious to find our more about it. I see from the map that there's another possible way to get to it, if it's not fenced off. I may do that on another video. We should get together and do some exploring. That's the fun part for me. That's a great achievement for your son to become an Eagle Scout. I only last a few months in the boy scouts. Our Scoutmaster was an ex-drill sergeant from the army and treated us like we were recruits. He had us in his backyard standing at attention in the pouring rain while he was in his house. The whole troop ended up quitting. 😂
@ebikeengineer28 күн бұрын
Ride tip - on your next Catonsville visit. Continue down Frederick road a little longer (about a kilometer) then turn left on Hilltop road. Much less traffic, and you'll get to go through Patapsco park. Make sure your brakes are in really good order!! But the road drops you out near the Patapsco river and that swinging bridge on Illchester. I think you'll like the ride as you get to see some ruins of the old town.

Now I'm dying to try the Eskimo Ice Cream joint across the street from that! A friend of mine owns a breakfast restaurant in Arbutus. I forgot to go there. How is Sorrentos?
@ebikeengineer28 күн бұрын
@@brucethomas3929 Sorrentos is a local phenomena. They got a new owner a couple years ago and he's done some great stuff with the place. The Pizza is pretty good (though I did prefer the previous crust as it was more NYC style). The fries are excellent as is the cheese steak. Pleny of items on the menu, oh and they serve both Coke and Pepsi products - so everybody is happy. @paulbouldin6677Ай бұрын
I own the H7 AWD and you can go into the settings and when in advanced settings it will allow you to change the number of PAS settings, as well, you can change the percentage of power for each PAS. Might be worth checking those to see where hers is set. Also, my bike wasn't accurate on its speed, so I changed the tire setting to a different size and that also increased the speed. Mine also ghost pedals around 16-18 mph. I have purchased a different rear cassette( 11-28 tooth) but, haven't had time to install.
@brucethomas3929Ай бұрын
Thank you for the suggestions, Paul. Fortunately I think Lori will adapt to the bike's features. I just view the pedals as a throttle with my feet. Another way to eliminate ghost pedaling at low speeds is to increase the tooth size of the pedal crankset. The previous owner of my Motor Goat swapped the 52 tooth crankset for a 84 tooth crankset. It's huge! But it doesn't ghost pedal until 23-25 mph.
