Joel, what an achievement, consistent top 10's in Australia, two excellent starts - i mean really excellent. Observation, not criticism, the faster guys behind you muscled through causing you to loose time. I hope to see you more aggressive to stay with the front guys. Bloody Incredible though. Great Season. And as others have said, dont be too hard on yourself. Your way ahead of millions of dirt bike riders in skills. We would like to see you catch the less than 10 guys in front of you....Again, well done!

Nice Job - great finish! Some deep ruts there. If you look at the top guy's lines, I wonder if they run more outside lines in corners to carry momentum? It looks like you are using more of the track lately. Great riding.

@@dropbear9526 Yes. Great rider. I'm not disagreeing with you just that dirt is different than pavement. The line which allows you to carry the most momentum and speed is not always the shortest in motocross due to changing surface conditions. Best wishes.

@@user-lv3py5vm6i I raced sprint karts for 5 yrs, It made me a much better MX'er, because my race craft was so much better than most other riders. It all transferred across to MX. And that's exactly what Joel is lacking, good race craft. No offence intended towards Joel. The vast majority of riders have no real race craft, and that includes the AMA riders. Hence why having good race craft is such a huge advantage for an MX'er.

As a fan I say this with absolute support for you dude.. your comments at the end about wanting to get better, you’re competing against a field that ALSO wants to get better.. Obviously your starts need to get better, but you’re battling dudes that want to beat you as much as you want to beat them. Give yourself credit man, the negative self talk needs to switch, you don’t have to be cocky, but more positive self talk could do you a benefit.. Your team believe in you, join them and believe you can improve and manifest it bro 👍🏼❤️

I manage to get to a few rounds each year and always keep a keen eye on you. Your talent is obvious buts it's really evident that you ride within your means. I enjoy your youtube channel but it's quite frustrating to always hear you chasing technique changes while ignoring the main issue preventing you progressing. While I realise its easy for guy who hasn't raced in 20 years to blurt out bullshit on the internet, the simply fact is to progress you need to get more comfortable hanging it out. To see you finally start pushing at Maitland was so bloody refreshing. Obviously pushing comes with consequence and maybe the risk ain't worth it. But your skill is higher than your pace! We saw your potential at Maitland, it was awesome to watch. Well done! Great ride.
